***Dweight's POV***
‘Alpha!’ A shrill voice sounded in my head and panic washed over me like a bucket of ice water. I bolted upright and looked around the room, quickly realized I was in my bed and Kelly was still next to me with her leg folded over the blanket revealing beautifully soft pale skin.
I felt calm at the sight of her until the voices cut through my happy moment.
‘Alpha!’
‘Alpha they have –’
‘Dweight, Bonny’s-’
‘Took her!’ So many voices erupted in my head at once that I was out of the bed stripping my clothing before I could even process what they were saying.
Kelly mumbled something as she sat upright and I knew I had to warn her before I shifted.
‘Kelly, stay here.’ My voice was controlled by my wolf as I dropped down on all fours and shifted.
‘Hillary!’ I barked and I could tell that she was already running toward my place.
‘I’ll stay with Kelly.’ She replied breathlessly through the Pack link.
I tried to filter through the chaotic thoughts of every wolf in my Pack before I blocked them all out.
‘Liam!’ I barked through the link. ‘Where are you?’
‘We’re at Donna’s place Dweight, get here quick!’ I sprinted over and saw every hunter, defender and border patrol wolf in my Pack breaking up into smaller groups and one by one setting off in different directions.
Liam jogged over to me the second he saw me and even in his wolf form he looked worried.
‘They came early this morning. They beat the hell out of Donna and they took Bonny.’ He growled and as I looked to the side I realized the smaller group on the far right was tending to Donna’s wounds and trying to hold her down as she snapped and growled at every hand near her.
I tuned into her thoughts and realized she was begging them to let her find Bonny.
A shudder ran through my body and I know that this was what Daniel was talking about.
I jogged over to Donna and the second she saw me she broke down.
‘Alpha, please…’ She pleaded in a sob. ‘Please find my baby girl. She’s all I have left in this world.’ My heart ached at the sight of her. Her husband had been in my defenders team and he was the best of the best but he died a year ago when we were raided by about twenty diseased rogues.
‘Donna, please calm down. We’ll find her, I promise you.’ She sobbed again and bowed her head before phasing back into her human form.
‘Please Dweight.’ She cried and the others wrapped a blanket around her and took her back into her house to treat her wounds.
I promise Donna. We’ll get her back.
I looked at Liam and nodded knowing that look on his face so well.
The shit was about to hit the fan.
‘Call in the SS wolves and request a meeting with Alpha Giovanni.’ Liam’s ears flatted against his skull and he seemed to shrink back.
‘Dweight do you think-’ I snapped my teeth at him in a snarl which had him backing away.
‘I said call a meeting with Giovanni.’
‘Yes sir.’ He lowered his head and sprinted east to our neighbouring Pack.
Giovanni owes me a life and if this was how that son of a bitch wanted to play it then so be it.
I felt the air vibrate through my fur as I stood rooted to the ground and staring off into the west.
So be it.
