***Dweight's POV***
Damn Daniel! Damn him straight to fucking hell. This beautiful creature was terrified even if I so much as raised my voice or touched her.
How could he hurt her like this? I'd tear him apart with my bare hands if I got hold of him after this.
Her skin felt so soft to the touch and the way her sad eyes looked into mine made me want to kiss her and tell her everything would be alright.
'It makes me so angry...' I ground my teeth, closed my eyes and concentrated on calming myself. I couldn't remember ever feeling the need to curse and rant like I did now but I knew it would scare her if I did. I wanted to tell her what I wanted to do to the sorry excuse for a wolf that hurt her.
'I dont-' I was cut off by the growl that came from just outside the doors and I shifted to stand in front of Kelly just as the doors shattered and a big sickly looking brown wolf tumbled in and snarled at me.
'Alpha!' Calan's voice howled in my head and I knew something was very wrong. The rogues have never come this close without someone spotting them.
'Calan, call reinforcements!' I shouted through our link, turned picking Kelly up -dodging the wolf as he jumped at us- and threw her over the bed before shifting into my own wolf. I knew she wouldn't be pleased about being thrown across a room but I didn't know what else to do. I needed her somewhere safe and the bed was the only object that just might slow this piece of shit down.
In all honesty I was too concerned with her to notice the state that this wolf was really in but when my hind legs slipped on the flooring, I realized that the rogue was already bleeding and he didn't seem to give a shit as he snarled -practically foaming at the mouth- and snapped in my direction.
He looked over at Kelly and bent as if he were going to launch himself over the bed at her but I snapped at his neck, feeling every fibre of my being bristle and urge me on to rip his throat out if he so much as looked at her again.
He growled, baring his teeth and turned away from me as if I wasn't any competition. I snarled threatening him with my aggressive stance but he just took a step toward the bed again. Kelly's head popped up and her wide eyes stared at me, fear clear on her face and the second she looked at him he jumped scrambling over the blankets and the stray pillow. Within seconds I was after him and grabbed his hind leg, gripping it in a death lock with my teeth, dragging him backwards and away from Kelly. His growl drowned out any sound but when he tried to kick me off I could hear another scream...Kelly.
