"I'm Sorry sir , but there is no one by that name working here . " , the Bangalore office HR replied.
Vikram and Tanya met him in the office cafeteria. They were not allowed to go further due to security reasons , as they did not work there.
"He is from Vasanth Nagar. Can you please try checking again?", Vikram requested.
"Mr. Vikram , as per our company policies, we cannot reveal anything about our employees. Sunil , from Mumbai , requested and hence I did this much. As per our records, we do not have anyone named Randhir working here. That is it. I'm really sorry for not being a great help. But this is all I can do.", he replied.
Both Vikram and Tanya thanked him and left without any clue on Randhir. Both had no idea of who Randhir was. How he looked??
As they rode back, Vikram rushed before the traffic light turned red, but to his bad, he missed it by a fraction of second.
"Sometimes you never know what was your mistake and why things doesn't happen as you wanted them to ", he banged the steering in disappointment.
The car honked loud.
"Vicky , I can imagine how difficult it is for you. But it is better to let certain things go, however close they were to us. Sanyukta had just looked at you as a good friend. It is better you be the same to her. I'm not asking you to loathe her, but just treat her the same way she treats you. I'm not asking you to ignore Sanyukta , but ignore the pain she is causing you, though it is unintentional", Tanya paused and continued.
"Sometimes it is always good to let certain things go off, however good they are, so that we have more space in our life for better things." , she smiled at him.
He nodded slowly, pondering on everything Tanya spoke.
"Hmmm . But what do we do now . We have no idea of who and where he is ??", Vikram said diverting the subject.
"Well , there's a service apartment adjacent to the French embassy in Vasanth Nagar. We can go there and check . We may or may not find Randhir , but we can definitely find someone working in Netway." , she smiled.
"Good idea", Vikram said.
"But it is getting late for me. I have to go Home", Tanya smiled.
"I can drop you. Just tell me where to go. " , Vikram asked in courtesy.
"No problem, it is just a few miles away. I'll manage ", she replied.
As she got down and closed the door, she heard Vikram's voice.
"That was a nice conversation. Thank you. I felt much better. Sorry if I had dumped my despair on you."
"Not at all. It is my pleasure. Sometimes, more than the actual solution, a pair of ears to listen will make you feel better." , she smiled.
As he slowly raised the window, he found her face disappearing and his face's reflection, coming up. Her face, which he saw through the glass and his reflection which he saw in the glass, merged into one.

Tanya came to Sanyukta's house the next morning........
"He has deceived you!!!", Tanya surmised that something was wrong after the clueless previous night.
"He does not hold any identity. There is no such employee with that name in Netway", Vikram added furiously .
Tanya and Vikram made sense. He was never affirmative when she asked him about his parents. He did not express any interest in meeting her friends or relatives. He had not taken her to any of his friends or relatives too. But his charm and charisma never gave any room for uncertainty.
'Has his love been untrue too?' , the mere thought bewildered her.
Sanyukta could be doubtful about their words, but she could not mistrust him or his love. Such was his love for her.
"What are we going to do now?", Tanya asked.
"Huh!", Tanya's voice broke Sanyukta's chain of thoughts.
"Call him again." Vikram shouted in anger .
Sanyukta stabbed her phone with her finger tips to dial his number but all she could hear was a recorded voice.
"He is not reachable even now.", Sanyukta's voice broke.
"Have you met him recently?" , Tanya asked.
"Yes, the previous week. To give the documents to be handed over to the magazine", Sanyukta answered weakly.
"What the hell?", Vikram looked at Sanyukta in disbelief.
"He hasn't taken away just those papers, but everything; my love, my future and my life ", Sanyukta chipped breaking down into sobs.
