*Simon's POV*
Yesterday was the first time Mackenzie had come to the Sidemen house. And it was the second time she got a glimpse of my soft side. My soft side, however, had gotten very big this past year. It was slowly becoming more easy to suppress. I was slowly getting better. I was moving on. And there wasn't a doubt in my mind that meeting Mackenzie had started the whole moving on process. Now I was laying in bed, my hands behind my head as I stared blankly at the ceiling. Usually when I was awake at this time I was crying but not this time. No, this time I was thinking of Mackenzie and had a small smile on my face. I really wanted to go see her but I knew she would be asleep. As if on cue my phone dinged beside me. I looked over at it, squinting at the light. Her name on the screen made my smile widen.
Mackenzie:
I can't sleepSimon:
I'm on my wayI didn't know if she wanted me to come over or not, but I figured she wouldn't have texted me if she didn't want my company. And I really wanted to see her. I needed to see her at this point. My phone vibrated as I flicked my comforter off of me.
Mackenzie:
I have pizza for usI slipped a hoodie over my t-shirt and exchanged my shorts for some joggers. I put some socks on and then slipped on my black Yeezys. I grabbed my wallet and keys from my desk and slipped my phone in my pocket, not replying to her text message. When I opened my bedroom door Vik was going down the stairs. He looked me up and down and smiled. "You really like her, huh?" He asked as I followed him down the stairs slowly. "She makes me happy." I said truthfully. "Not many things do that." I added quickly. "I know." He said, nodding. "How long have you known her now? A month?" He asked. I nodded. "It's been a good month for you. I trust her if I'm honest. I don't think she's going anywhere." He said, giving me a smile when we reached the bottom of the stairs. "Thanks, Vik." I didn't know if I trusted her yet. When I pushed the guys away I pushed them past their breaking points. And I had only just told her that I didn't care she was here. That wasn't really pushing her away if you ask me. But the more I thought about it the more I realized I didn't want to push her away. I just wanted to be with her all the time. But how could I know she could be trusted if I didn't test her?

"No that is bullshit!" She yelled, throwing her controller down. "I told you I play this game for a living." I laughed. "I don't give a fuck how much you play this stupid game! That was a pen!" She stopped pacing and sat down again, taking a drink of the water in front of her. I laughed again and she glared at me, then allowing her eyes to widen when she looked at something behind me. "I have a meeting in five hours. Fuck." She mumbled. "I'm not even tired. Fuck it." She added. I noticed she was cussing a lot more tonight and I assumed it was the game of FIFA she had just lost. "Are you tired?" She asked me. I shook my head and she nodded. "Looks like I'm not going to the gym. Cheating the system." She smirked at me. I watched her quietly as she looked down at her hands, toying with her fingers. I didn't care if it was the middle of the night and she had no makeup on and her hair was in a messy bun. She was still breathtakingly beautiful. "I feel you looking at me." She looked up at me through her eyelashes and gave me a shy smile. "Sorry." I said, looking away quickly. I felt my cheeks grow warm as she stood up off the couch. "Do you want to go swimming?" She asked randomly. "Swimming? It's freezing outside." "Indoor pool, mate." She winked at me and started walking away. I had only been in the living room, kitchen, and bathroom of her house before so this was all still new to me. She opened a glass door into a big room and flipped on the light switch. The pool was huge and had a deep and shallow end. I wondered how much it had cost to have it built but I wouldn't ask. I watched her as she turned on another switch and lights came on on the perimeter of the pool underwater, causing the water to change different colors. I looked around the room and saw the wall furthest from the door was a wall of windows that had automatic blinds covering them. There a huge open area to the left of the pool where I saw another door and some chairs and a table. "So you down?" She asked, breaking me from my trance. "I don't have any shorts." I shrugged. "I have some you can wear." She shrugged. I saw her flip yet another switch on the wall and the jets in the pool turned on. "Then yes, let's do this."
