*Mackenzie's POV*

      I heard Simon laugh behind me as I plopped down on his bed. The same bed we had been sharing all week. We had just gotten back from a very fancy Christmas dinner with the rest of the family. I found getting along with his family easy, especially since I already knew Johnny. "I'm so full I can't move." I mumbled, placing a hand on my stomach. Simon hummed in agreement, plopping down beside me. His arm grazed against my own and it made my breathing stop for a second. There was no denying I had feelings for Simon. I just wasn't exactly sure what he felt about me. And I didn't want to jeopardize our friendship by bringing it up either. So I kept my feelings to myself, silently waiting for the moment when I could finally tell him - or show him - without ruining everything. I felt him sit up beside me and it brought me out of my thoughts. "I got you something." He said simply, making his way towards his side of the bed. I sighed. "We agreed no gifts." I sat up and watched him as he pulled out a small box from a drawer. "I know but I feel like you deserve it." He said, meeting my eyes from across the room, a small smile on his mouth. I felt a blush come to my face as I smiled. He placed the box in my hand and sat back down on the bed, waiting. I looked at him with my eyes slightly narrowed. "If a bloody spider jumps out of here I will murder you in your sleep." He put his hands up in defense and laughed. "No promises." He smirked. I knew he was joking, so I put my attention back on the black box in my hand. I opened it quickly and smiled when I saw the necklace inside.

"It's lovely, Simon

"It's lovely, Simon. Thank you." I leaned forward and hugged his neck, secretly wishing the moment would never end. But, of course, it had to. "That's alright." He said as I pulled away slightly from the hug, my smile never altering. I met Simon's eyes and got lost in them quickly. It was hard not to. But I blinked back into reality and looked at the necklace once more before closing the box and standing up. I placed the box on the bedside table on my side of the bed and made my way to my bag of clothes that I never unpacked. I grabbed some pajamas, my makeup remover wipes, and my toothbrush before turning back to Simon. "Thanks, again. For everything - the necklace and bringing me here in the first place." He nodded slowly in acknowledgment and with that I left the room for the bathroom.

*Simon's POV*

     You should've kissed her. I ran hand through my hair, tugging it lightly once I was alone. "You're so fucking stupid, Simon." I mumbled to myself as I stood up from the bed. I had the perfect opportunity but my fear took over me, as always. I was worried she would push me away or not kiss back. I began unbuttoning my dress shirt slowly as I paced around the area beside my closet. When I finally got all of the buttons undone I shrugged it off of me and tossed it beside my bag that I needed to pack before we left tomorrow. I exchanged my skinny jeans for joggers and plopped down on the bed, awaiting Mackenzie's return. I slipped underneath the duvet and grabbed my phone for some sort of entertainment. I scrolled through Twitter and saw all of the Merry Christmases from my fans and the other Sidemen directed towards the fans. I hadn't tweeted all day, just because I had been busy socializing and what not. So I decided now was the perfect time.

@miniminter:
I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas like I did with @kenzie_g :)

     (That's a made up Twitter, it's not mine. But if you want mine it's @kenzie_xix :)) The fans hadn't been too suspicious when I and some of the other Sidemen followed Mackenzie on social medias and liked some of her tweets and Instagram posts, but I knew that would cause a little something. But it was always nice to get a reaction out of them. It makes me realize how much they mean to me. Mackenzie walked back into the room with her clothes and other things tucked under her arm as she looked at her phone.  "My notifications are dead." She mumbled, tossing her phone to the bed beside me as she began sorting out her bag so she wouldn't have to in the morning. "You're used to it though, right?" I smirked. She had more Instagram and Twitter followers than me, so I figured it was normal. She shrugged lightly. "My mentions aren't usually filled with emotional teenagers." She laughed. "Do you want me to delete it?" I asked. I found myself staring at her, watching her back as she sat on the floor in an oversized hoodie and black leggings, as always. Her ability to still be perfect in an outfit that was just thrown on was amazing to me. "I already retweeted it so it's a bit late. I'm fine, Simon." I could hear the smile in her voice and I could picture it placed on her lips. She stood up before I could say anything, her bag zipped shut now. "Are you going to sort out your things, Simon?" She asked as she faced me. I had to take a minute to take in her beauty before I could answer. "I will in the morning." I shrugged, smiling to myself as she slipped into bed next to me. "Well we've got to be home before two. I've got a shoot tomorrow." I watched as she grabbed her phone and unlocked it, not paying much attention to me. "The day after Christmas?" I asked. "It's for a New Years special thing for VS (Victoria's Secret). You can come if you want to." The thought of watching models walk around in lingerie while I sat there awkwardly not speaking to anyone wasn't exactly inviting. But then I thought about Mackenzie being there, smiling at me from behind the camera then putting her attention back on the task at hand. Back to her job. "What would I do there?" I asked, still staring at the side of her face. She locked her phone with a small sigh and looked over at me, meeting my eyes. "Entertain me while I'm not busy, obviously." She smiled. "What do you usually do for entertainment?" I asked. "Text you." "What about before you met me?" "Aimlessly scroll through the same Twitter feed over and over again." I found myself smiling at her as I gazed upon her beautiful face. "Do you want me to come?" I asked, my voice coming out quieter than expected. She didn't seem to mind how my voice got whispery and her smile didn't fade as she held my stare. "I'd like you to but if you're busy -" It was like I wasn't controlled by my fear anymore. It was almost as if something inside of me took over as I leaned forward and connected our lips together, gently placing my hand to the side of her face. My heart beat furiously in my chest as the moment played out - as she kissed back. It was the moment I had been waiting for for so long. And it was even more magical than I could've ever imagined. I had never felt the expression of "fireworks going off" was true until now, as I could mentally see the bright colors and sparks all around us. Our lips moved in sync and molded together perfectly. Until she finally pulled away, causing me to come back to reality. We stared at each other for a second and I let my hand drop from her face. It wasn't the first kiss we had shared, but it was the first one we both remembered. "I - I'm sorry." I mumbled, trying my hardest to hold her gaze. She smiled and it radiated her green eyes. "Don't apologize. It was nice."

A/N
I'm awkward as hell and never know how to end something so I end it on dialogue. I hope that's alright. It seems like the least awkward way to end things for me. Anyways, I hope you all have/had an amazing day because each and every single one of you deserve it!

See ya! x
