Chapter 18

It's been a whole night now. We still haven't heard anything from the kidnappers yet. I woke up early in the morning to find everyone fast asleep.

I cuddled up next Ray, who sensing my presence adjusted his sleeping position so that I was comfortable, and fell asleep down there. I felt better knowing I wasn't sleeping alone.

But I kept waking up so I decided to head into the kitchen . Gerard was already there.

He looked like I mess. No one could blame him. We were all a mess. We just wanted Alyssa back . That's it .

But why her?

Because she was the only girl here at the time. They thought she was me. That's why they took her.

"Can't sleep ?" I ask

" Well the love of my life is missing so yea I can't sleep ." Gerard says sarcastically

" I'm sorry Gee." I say

"It's ok Ronnie. I'm not blaming you. We should've been here sooner." Gerard says

"I should've told sooner." I say

Gerard nods and we stay there in silence for awhile . So long the sun was finally up in the sky. Everyone was waking up and filing into the kitchen.

We all looked like shit. Ray's hair was messier than usual. Frank and Mikey had bags under their eyes. Matt and Bailey couldn't stop yawning .

"I'm so sorry guys ." I say tearing up again

"It's not your fault . Stop making it your fault ." Ray says

" But Ray it is my fault ." I say

" Ray's right . It's not your fault." Matt says

" I'm just scared." I say sitting in a chair at the kitchen table

" We're all scared." Mikey says

" We were supposed to hear something by now." Gerard says

" They're probably scaring us. Then they'll contact us." Frank says

" How do you know that Frank ?" I ask

" I don't know ." Frank says

" Then don't guess anything ." I say

" Hey I didn't keep my mouth shut about the texts." Frank says

I lunge at him because that stung . I wrestle him to the ground . We kept rolling over each other until someone pulled me off of him.

" Let me go !" I yell kicking to get out of my captor's grasp

"Everyone just calm down. This whole thing is stressing us out ." Gerard says

I breathe in and out as Ray wraps me up in a hug. In his arms I instantly calm down . I remember the first day I was here and it was Ray who had calmed me down then.

Just as he was now. Our breathing was in sync and somehow I got a hold of myself. I pulled away from Ray and turn to face the others.

" I'm sorry Frank." I say

"It's ok Ronnie." Frank says

" So... what do we do now?" I ask

" For now... we wait." Gerard says

When I finally woke up I was blinded by the lights. They were so bright . Or maybe it's because my eyes had been closed for so long.
