So Glad I Found You

Chapter 23

Today's the day. All the months of planning have lead up to this . Today's the day of the wedding.

For the past two days we have been at Lisa's apartment since the groom isn't supposed to see the bride the day of the wedding. We had to be awake in the wee hours of the morning to go to our hair and makeup appointments.

So while I was in my room , which was originally Alyssa's room, I was getting ready and putting my dress and shoes in a separate bag. I had so much adrenaline in me and I wasn't even the one getting married.

After Alyssa got out of the shower she got into her street clothes and put her hair into a messy ponytail. She had decided to wear the jewelry that she got from Liza at her bachelorette party. She would keep the jewelry on for her wedding.

I was staring in the mirror at my own street clothes and messy ponytail.

" You ready?" Someone asks

I snap out of my daze to see Alyssa standing with the bedroom door open.

" Shouldn't I be asking you that? It's your wedding after all." I say

" I know but I wanted to know if you were ok." Alyssa says

" I'm better than ok. The most amazing girl is marrying my brother." I say

She smiles and looks at the ground. Liza comes up behind her and she looks very frantic.

" I hate to ruin this moment but we have to leave now ." Liza says

We nod our heads in unison and gather our stuff. We had taken Alyssa's dress to the wedding venue the night before. We would be there before anyone else to help get Alyssa ready and to get ready ourselves.

We decided to get some food at the cafe before going to our appointments. When we were seated and our orders taken then the excitement started.

" You're getting married today !!!" Liza yells

Alyssa smiles and soon the waitress comes back with our orders. We had all ordered hot chocolate and our pancakes.

" To Gerard and Alyssa." I say with my hot chocolate cup raised high

We repeat the blessing and we tap our cups together. Once we paid the bill we were off to our first appointment.

When we got the hair salon we were rushed right in and had Alyssa go first. Her hair was put in a braided crown which suited her face well. Liza's hair was straightened to perfection against her dark face.

When it came my turn they curled my long black hair in tight ringlets . Once it was finished I couldn't believe how good it looked.

I was still so tired from waking up so early in the morning. When we got to the MAC store they took us in right away to do our makeup. They did us all at the same time so I didn't see how Alyssa and Liza looked until we were done.

We all looked so beautiful and I never thought I would ever look this good.

It was nearly time. We drive straight to the venue and got Alyssa into her dress and shoes. Then Liza and I got into our dresses. Theresa showed up later and we helped get her ready.

Now all we had to do was wait.

Gerard's P.O.V

I was so nervous. So nervous in fact I was having trouble tying my tie.

" Here let me do it." Mikey says as he jumps up from the chair

" Thanks Mikey." I say

" No problem." Mikey says as he finished with my tie
