So Glad I Found You

Chapter 6

I wake up the next morning feeling really tired. Who could blame me ? It was a really late show last night.

But it was so fucking awesome. I couldn't believe I had never listened to them before.

Heck I can't believe no one ever told me about them before. I think my favorite song is Helena.

It strikes at my heartstrings. I know I will never be able to meet my grandmother but at least I am connected to her through this song.

I get out of bed and put on a purple shirt and some leggings. I am thankful it's still the weekend because I so did not want to go back to school.

I head downstairs humming Helena all the way.

I  continue to hum as I pull out a box of cereal and milk.

" Good morning." Someone says

I jump and almost drop the bowl. And the milk.

" Holy crap Frank you almost scared the shit out of me." I say

" Woah you kiss your mother with that mouth?" Frank asks

" Don't tell Gerard." I say

" Don't worry Gerard cusses too." Frank says

" So what exactly are you doing here?" I ask

" Uh I need a place to stay." Frank says

" Why?" I ask

" My house is being fumigated for termites ." Frank says

" Ah have you asked Gerard?" I ask

" Asked me what?" Someone asks

There he was Gerard at the kitchen doorway. His hair was messy as usual and he looked really tired. Wouldn't blame him. He got a workout at the show.

" I uh need a place to stay while my house is being fumigated." Frank says

" Of course we'll have you here. You can take the room next to Ronnie's." Gerard says

" Thanks Gee." Frank says

" You know Alyssa enjoys having you here and so do I." Gerard says

" Speaking of Alyssa where is she?" Frank asks

" I let her sleep ." Gerard says

" Awe that's so sweet." I say

" What can I say I love her." Gerard says

And I believe him. I mean there's honesty in his eyes. He really cares about her.

And I know I'm not the only one that sees it. I know the guys see it too.

" Hey guys." Someone says

Alyssa is at the door and rubbing the sleep out of her eyes.

" Why don't you go back to bed?" Gerard asks

" Number one I can't. Number two I'm already awake." Alyssa says

" Hi Alyssa." Frank says

" Hi Frank what are you doing here?" Alyssa asks

" Meet our newest roommate." Gerard says

" Seriously?" Alyssa asks

" It's not permanent I swear. I'm only staying here while my house is being fumigated." Frank says

" Sweet. I mean you staying here not about your house being fumigated." Alyssa says

" Yea I'm actually happy to be here." Frank says
