Victoria watched as maids rushed around the castle as quickly as humanly possible. Silver candle sticks being placed in most areas to create a mood lighting for the reception later on. Another maid rushed around with pieces of Victoria's dress making sure each piece was perfect. Outside a few servants carried crates of fresh fruit and vegetables into the pantry  and others carried vases of flowers into the ball room.

Miss Florence rushed into the room her face red and her breath laboured. From all the running about the castle this morning. Followed by maids with all the other pieces of Victoria's dresses. Miss Florence opened up the box she was carrying and placed it on the dressing table. Victoria sat down in front of the mirror in her underdress. While the maids pulled her hair into bun , Miss Florence did Victoria's make up. Which was a light dusting of powder across her face and a nude lipstick. They stood her up and began to piece together the dress. Helping her into the petticoat and then the actual dress. It was a beautiful ivory with silver beading to match the family's house colours. Finally the maids pulled the corset tightly with the same silver coloured ribbon. Taking out the crown and veil from the box placing them both lightly on Victoria's head. Throughout this process Victoria had kept quiet. She didn't want this to happen so quickly. But she liked Francis and it was what the court had ruled so she had no choice. If it helped the family she would do it. She thought as Miss Florence placed the veil over Victoria's face.

"Oh, you look beautiful Miss Teller." Miss Florence said moving around her to check the dress while a few of the maids fluffed the layers of the dress as she stood up.

"Why thank you Miss Florence. But I am not ready for this." Victoria said

"No Queen is ready for this. Now to the chapel we go. The King is waiting." Miss Florence says opening the door of her room

" Ok. if you say so Miss Florence." Victoria states taking a deep breath as the maids carried the train of her dress.

Walking out of her room. She still hadn't thought that it would be the last time she would leave her room as a single lady in waiting. She still hadn't realised that this room would no longer be her room. She hadn't realised that so soon she would be queen and married to Francis. She hoped the court's decision would work in the families favour. In the end that was the most important.
