51. She is our sovereign

After she met with Gulliver her mind was in a whirlwind. Replaying that night over in her head same way she had done when she was violated before. All the Valois wanted to do was wreck her purity as a sovereign. They wanted the people to lose hope and see her in the same light every other member of the house demure royalty had. A adulterous and selfish person. But she wasn't either of those. Sitting on a chair in them sitting room Victoria sighed as the head of the townspeople came in. Bowing at her as they sat down across from her.

" Your majesty. I have come on behalf of the people to thank you for everything you have done for us. I can't remember the last time the people were this happy."the towns person said and Victoria smiled softly

" Your welcome." Victoria states

" You will always be our sovereign. Even if the investigation tries to put you in a bad light."the towns person said,and Victoria sighed

"It's the Valois doing. They paid someone from the court to seduce and drug me and now they are reporting to the people that I recklessly drunk like the rest of the sovereigns before me and I cheated on Francis on purpose."Victoria,says staring into blankness playing with her hands in her lap.

"We know you would never hurt Francis on purpose your majesty but the Valois people think otherwise. This close to the crown wars anything could happen."the towns person says and bows as they leave.

Francis had been in many different meetings back to back about the crown wars. Victoria kept thinking it over in her head how to tell Francis to make the army stay watchful over the Valois. He knew what happened at the masquerade was because of them but he still had no idea it was Gulliver they had paid. Wringing her hands Victoria paced outside of the office door waiting for the meeting to finish. As Francis left Victoria grabbed his arm and pulled him into there bedroom shutting the door.

" What is wrong sweetheart? Are you ok? Is Johnathan alright?" Francis asked quickly

"We are both fine but there is something you should know." Victoria starts still wringing her hands and Francis motions for her to continue.

" The Valois paid Gulliver to commit what happened at the party. More was meant to happen in their plan.but I had a few too many when they slipped me the drug on an empty stomach I fainted and that threw their plan off." Victoria finishes quickly.

" So, T.H is Gulliver." Francis says and Victoria nods.

" those Valois are going to get it. I am so grateful they couldn't touch you again. If the circumstances had been different who knows what state this family would be in this close to the crown wars." Francis says pulling her into a hug kissing her forehead reassuringly.

" I swore to Gulliver I,wouldn't tell. Because he said that if news got out they would kill you and Johnathan and frame him to completely destroy the family." Victoria sobbed and Francis rubbed her back soothingly

" It's ok. We are all ok. Don't worry. Valois will not get to this family ever. We will win the crown wars." Francis says and kisses her forehead again and gives her a quick kiss.

" Ok." Victoria states as Miss Florence brings in Johnathan who is walking in front of her gripping onto her hands.

"look at my precious little boy. You are getting so good. Soon you will be walking without any help at all." Victoria,says bending down to his level with Francis following shortly behind.

Johnathan made his way to the pair of them with Miss Florence's help. Letting go of her hands as he got close enough to launch himself into Victoria's lap. Squealing with joy when she squeezed him. Francis then began to tickle Johnathan making him squeal even higher giggling making them both smile uncontrollably. Victoria had started holding onto these special moments after the meeting with Gulliver. Worrying that each day could be their last after the Valois got so close to destroying the family.
