33. Perfect in every way

After the meeting with the Elise family Francis and Victoria took Johnathan back to his nursery to put him down for his nap. Thankfully the meeting didn't run into his nap time as Sebastian and Mary rushed out of the office quickly after they realised how different their ruling techniques were to the prestige Elise family rules. Which was to be expected as House Demure and Elise are on very different ends of the reigning spectrum.

"The court want to begin the reinstating tomorrow with a meeting at ten." Francis says and Victoria sighs

"Do you need me to be at the meeting since you are the strategy behind the reign." Victoria asked and Francis nodded

"You have strength against the court I need you to make sure the court isn't ripping us off." Francis says and Victoria giggled

"I was the one to make them leave us alone." Victoria said in between giggles

"Yes you were so you can't expect me to do it alone darling." Francis shuts the door to Johnathan's nursery and they head to the house grounds to see the ducklings that Victoria loves.

"I will just have to make sure Johnathan goes does for his nap slightly earlier so he isn't at the meeting as I don't want him around the court or Gulliver." Victoria says and Francis nods as they sit on the bench in front of the duck pond.

As , soon as the ducks hear Victoria's voice they rush out of the pond to see her. Quacking away at her feet making her giggle at how vocal the ducks were as Francis watched in shock as he hadn't realised how much time Victoria spent at the pond with Johnathan. Victoria enjoys the attention of the ducks but it did feel weird for her being at the pond without Johnathan. They watched as the gardener was trimming back the rose bushes and sweeping away the first few leaves that had begun to fall. Francis held Victoria's hands as they watched the sun start to set over the house making them relax after a long day. All of a sudden the military rode by on their horse in rush making Francis and Victoria turn round quickly watching as they rushed to the north side of the house.

"What is going on?" Victoria asked Francis

"Maybe there has been another attack." Francis says just as one of his military leaders rushes over to the two of them

"Sorry to disturb your afternoon your highnesses but the house is under attack you need to go back into the house to be safe." The man said breathlessly and they both jumped from the bench quickly

"We need to keep Johnathan safe his nursery is on the north side." Victoria says

"Don't worry your highness , there is army members surrounding his nursery it should be impossible for someone to get to him but you must get inside." The man stresses and the two of them nod rushing to the house as quick as Victoria could in her heavy petticoat. While , the man charged towards the north side to order the army to make sure House Demure was protected.
