Buried Feelings

1 month and a half later

We got back from Wonderland some time ago now, I've broken up with Mackenzie, and I ended up dating the girl I never thought it would; Melissa Mills. I know it may seem alarming but she can be really sweet and I love her for that. And she's hot haha. But I question why I still have feelings for my ex. Before class today I went to visit Jasper, him and I have bonded over this past while and I've helped him with homework too.

He was at his locker "Hey, what's up?" I said, leaning by him on a locker. "Nothing really, June 8th will just be another boring day of school..." Jasper said. Right, today was Kenzie's 14th birthday. "AND there's a full moon tonight, I don't wanna tear up the leather booths at Granny's again when I transform." Jasper continued. Thee bell rang "Well good luck with that." I chuckled and waved, then headed down the hall.

As I got closer to my class, I saw Melissa and we kissed and smiled at eachother, then she said "Kenzie is being such a bitch, as usual." I really didn't like her calling her that so I told her "Please just stop insulting her, she didn't do anything to you." She frowned "You are dating me aren't you? So why do you care?" Melissa asked "Just please stop being mean to her." I said "Okay, okay fine." I was relieved she had agreed.

"Thank you Mel." I said. She told me "I love you." And I replied with an "I love you too." We kissed. I saw Mackenzie seeing us then run from my pereferal vision. "Look who's always hittin' on the ladies!" I heard behind me. My girlfriend and I stopped and--- did I mention I saved Christopher, who was leaning against the wall looking at the two of us. I have him a 'Seriously?' look.

"What? It isn't my fault my buddy Alex is a player!" He said. "I'll see you later Melissa." I said. Chris put his arm around my shoulder as we walked down the hall. "You're gonna bang some girls one day." He said "Dude, you don't just go and say this stuff!" I told him. Now he gave ME the look. "I was 'Stoned' remember? So I guess I don't get this realm as well as you do." Chris said. I laughed at the pun.

We parted ways and I walked into class. I sat down after making eye contact with Mackenzie for a brief moment. Our History teacher, Ms. Cameron said "We will be having a partner project, Before you guys ask, I already chose your partners." The whole class groaned. "Ashley you will be with Ethan, Mackenzie you will be with Alexander." Oh no, this wasn't gonna be good. The teacher went on with the rest of the class. When she finished, Kenz went to ask her something, I didn't hear what, then sat down next to me.

"Hello Mackenzie." I said, trying to act natural, although I probably sounded like an idiot. Her face was red "Hey." She said and looked down at her papers. We sat in silence for a moment until she said "Our Project is on American History." Kenz then handed me the paper. "Ok I guess we should get started on it." I said. Mackenzie's hair was in a ponytail, and she took out her glasses and put them on. "You look nice in glasses." I complimented.

She smiled with a "Thank you." We began reading out textbooks for a while. Once the bell rang and we packed our stuff she asked "Can we meet after school and we can go to my house to work on this some more if you aren't busy?" And I said, "Sure Kenzie, I would love that." She smiled and said "Okay, I guess I will meet you by your locker after school."

"Okay then," I said before leaving "and one more thing. Happy Birthday Mackenzie." I said and went to speak with Ethan. My buried feelings were being dug up by a shovel of love for Mackenzie. I knew eventually that gravestone would shatter and I would find my way back to our love we had once shared.
