Day Dead Byegone

It had been days since I had been put inside the genie bottle, but I think Marvello wanted to get rid of me for good, because on my last day in his shop, the genie bottle plunged into a river, I could see waves through the small window. I was so afraid the water would get in. I took a deep breath and told myself "Be not so Fearful." The same advice I gave Jasper. This calmed me down.

What I believe was a few hours down the river, suddenly my temporary home stopped with a thump, and it was pulled out of the water and rubbed. I transported outside it and saw a red haired girl close to my age. "Mistress mine, my will is thine. Tell me your wishes three." I said, holding my hands together. "Ummm..." the girl was confused.

She had a familiar voice, and she looked familiar too. "Tell me your name, may I have your name please?" I asked. "Elizabeth Miller. But everyone calls me Beth." She replied, then I knew it was her. I met her a long time ago when I was 8 years old. "Beth! It's Alex!" I exclaimed and hugged her. "Alex? It's you? The skinny kid I met when I was 9?" Beth said. "It's me." I said and let her go. "There's no way, you're taller than me now, and..." she said circling around me, looking too to bottom. "You're not scrawny anymore." She said and felt my upper arm.

6 years ago

I travelled along a long road with low inhabitants with many farms until I reached the end, where there were rows of fruit trees. I was tired and hungry so my eyes lit up. I ran towards the miracle and picked a ripe green apple. I took a bit of it. "What are you doing little kid?" Someone said. I looked up and saw a guy who looked nearly 20 with red hair. I dropped the apple and began to run for my life next to the rows of trees. But just in a split second after a few rows I saw a frying pan and ran right into it.

THUNK!

I fell onto the ground and winded myself. I saw a red haired girl before my vision began to blur. "What do we do with him Abraham?" She asked as the man arrived. "Bring him to Pops." He said and I blacked out.

Present time

"Why are you here?" Beth asked. "I'm currently under a genie's curse. It takes a wish to free me." I told her "And I have three?" She asked "Yes." I replied "I cannot bring back the dead can I?" Beth asked sadly. "No, you know the laws of Magic. Why do you ask?" I said "Because Abe and my father passed away some time ago." She was near tears. "Oh my. I am so sorry." I pulled her in for another hug, and she cried into my shoulder.

"My first wish is to go home." Beth said. I poofed us there, to an old, abandoned farm with a mill, all that hadn't been touched in three years. Beth fell to her knees. Then she suddenly jumped up and ran inside. "Beth wait!" I said and followed her.

6 years ago

I woke up in a bed inside the farmhouse, then panicked and reached for my dagger, but failed to find it. "Don't think I didn't take your weapons away." Someone said. I looked to my left and saw a man in his mid forties on a rocking chair. "Who're you?" I asked. "Pattrick Miller, my family calls me Pops." He said.

"Now Alex, you're gonna stay here for a couple days then we'll send you off with some food and water." Pops said and stood up. I saw his kids in the doorway. "These are my kids, Abraham and Elizabeth but for short, Abe and Beth." He said "How do you know my name?" I asked. "Curious one aren't you? We checked everything, now come along skinny kid, we'll give you a tour." Abraham said and I followed him and his sister out of the room.

The Miller kids showed me the rows of fruit trees, their Breaded mushroom grove and mill, where they made bread. Abe handed me a large burlap sack of grain. It fell and I couldn't lift it. "Wow, you're weak." Beth said and lifted one with ease. I sighed and Abe brought it in for me. I won't go into detail but I had a really nice time during the three days I spent with the Millers. When it was time to go, I took my bag outside and they walked with me to the road.

We said our goodbyes. As I began to walk, Beth said "Wait!" And kissed me on the cheek. I blushed, she was so pretty. I liked her at the time. I looked up at the setting sun in the sky. The day was dead, our byes were gone. I continued down the long road.

Present day

Beth sat in the bedroom crying. "I'm alone now, don't you see!?" She cried. I frowned "My second wish, take me to the place YOU Desire where to go." Beth said. I did just that and I was near Jafar's castle for some odd reason. But I had this deep dark feeling something had happened to Mackenzie. "And for my third wish, I wish you to be released from the genie curse." Beth said. My golden bracelets broke free and fell off.

"Thank you." I told her. She nodded "Of course cutie." She said and gave me a kiss on the cheek. "Umm... Elizabeth... I have a girlfriend." I said. She was shocked.
