Chapter 10: Realization

Applejack's POV
I still can't believe what just happened to me last night. Was it luck or was it just coincidence? Nevermind, I need to get to school.

I got out of bed and went to take a quick shower and got dressed in a blue t-shirt, denim vest and a pair of jeans, I also wore my brown boots and went downstairs to say goodbye to mom and dad.

"Bye mom, bye dad." I said, as I kissed both of their cheeks and went for the door.

"Bye sweetie, have a great day." Dad said.

"I will."

I hopped in the limo and texted Twilight to meet me and the others at the statue. I don't know why but I am having the greatest day ever! Seriously, I have a feeling that this is gonna be a great day.

I got out of the limo and straight to my friends. "Hey gals." I waved at them.

"Hi Jewel, don't you look happy today." Cider said.

"My dad just came home last night." I announced excitedly.

"Oh, so that explains your good mood. Can we come to your house later after school? You know just hang out like we used to do." Twilight asked.

"Sure! It gets lonely in the mansion sometimes. We could just have a sleepover, besides there's no school tomorrow anyways." They agreed at the idea.

We walked to class all together, till I got dumped with water. The girls gasped and looked for any signs of anger in my face, so far they didn't see one.

I am not going to let water ruin my happy day, plus this is an excuse to dump water on her too. I faced Rainbowdash with a smile on my face, I took out my water bottle and poured it on her. "Now we're even." I said, as she stared at me wide eyes that I didn't freak out. Ha! You're not gonna ruin my day sucker!

I told the gals to meet me at class, cause I had to change my clothes. I headed to the locker room in the gym and took off my clothes as I looked through my locker.

I found my spare clothes and closed it. I screamed when I saw Rainbowdash here with me! I dropped my clothes and covered myself up with my bag. "Sheesh, such a drama queen. You have underwear on Jewel! Plus, we're both girls here!" She complained.

"Well, I for one respect my body and I don't want anyone seeing me nude." I argued.

"For the last time! You have underwear! You're not completely naked!" She growled.

"That still counts!" She groaned in annoyance and took off her t-shirt. I blushed, turning my face completely red. "Rainbow! That's just disrespectful!" I complained, looking away from her.

"What? I need to take off my wet clothes to put on my dry clothes! Don't be such a drama queen." She whined.

I looked away and dressed up quickly. I closed my locker and turned around, but I bumped into Rainbow, the impact sending us both to the ground. She was on the bottom I was on top.

I blushed hard and so did she. I don't know why, but I stared into her magenta eyes longer than I should've. Did she always had that sparkle in her eyes? Was her eyes this beautiful?

"You know you could just take a picture of me, instead of staring at me like that!" She shouted and pushed me off. I got up blushing like crazy, good thing she was all dressed up when I collided on to her.

I ran out of the locker room still blushing hard. Did I just really stare into her eyes? Did I really thought that it was beautiful? Am I lesbian?

"Jewel? Are you sick? You're face is all red." Honey asked, checking if I had a fever. "What happened in the locker room?"

"I don't want to talk about it." I said as I drew something on the paper I pulled out a moment ago.

I drew the shape of her face and her lips, her cheeks, hair, her ears... And of course, her eyes. I feel like I could get lost in them forever, so it is true... I am lesbian.

I covered my drawing before anyone else could see and hid it in my back pack.

Rainbowdash's POV
"You know you could just take a picture of me, instead of staring at me like that!" I shouted at her. To be honest, I like her just being on top of me, staring into those emeralds are like staring at heaven itself, but if I didn't say anything, she'll figure it out.

She blushed hard and stood up then hurriedly went out of the locker room. I followed closely behind, as I entered the classroom, my attention was caught by Jewel's friend named Honey I think. "Jewel? Are you sick? You're face is all red." She said, as she check Jewel for her temperature.

I just shrugged and sat down on my seat next to Rarity. I remembered Jewel's eyes, no wonder her name was like that, her eyes are like true emeralds, shimmering whenever light hits it.

I took out my paper and drew what I saw. Her perfect head shape, her always smiling lips, her perfect nose... And of course her emeralds.

I could just stare at them all day loong without getting tired of it. I covered the drawing and hid it in my back pack. I drew more pictures of Jewel... To be honest, I grew feelings for Jewel the past few days, because of our fights and arguing, I have learned that Jewel isn't like the other girls in this school.

I learned that she's independant, out-going, strong and smart. Not only that she's the one and only person who stood up on her own against me, but for the fact that she was brave enough to fight for her rights. You might see that in an everyday school girl, but the way she fights, I can feel it's deep and she means it.

My only problem right now is telling her... I'm her enemy, and that's what brought me closer to her, made me realize that... I'm in love.
