Ashley spent the remainder of her day helping to get her uncle home and settled. After lunch, her uncle went off to bed for some rest and she and her aunt sat down to go over some files and the payroll. Ashley spent time on the phone with Steve to discuss the unusually high tip out on the previous Wednesday evening and how things were going in general. He explained the unexpected party of 17 that came in with one of the prominent studio executives resulting in an astronomical tab and an equally large tip for the excellent service they'd received.

She checked her phone several times throughout the day looking for another text from Harry. By 5:30, she was particularly disappointed that he'd not gotten in touch. Finally, at 7:00, Ashley, her aunt, and her uncle had dinner together before he was ready for another rest. Ashley decided to go home shortly after and spend some time writing in her journal.

A little after 9:00 her phone rang.

"Hello," she said trying not to sound excited.

"Hello. Are you busy?" he asked.

"Just doing some writing. I've kind of been neglecting it lately and miss it," she said casually.

The butterflies in her stomach told her she was feeling anything but casual.

"Is it too late to come over?"

"No, I'm dressed in my pajamas, but I can get dressed."

"I don't mind if you don't."

"Maybe we should have a pajama party," she laughed.

"Tell me one thing. Are these pajamas sexy?"

"No," she said laughing again.

"Darn. No pajama party for you."

"That's not very nice."

"I missed you today," he said softly.

"I missed you too. Thank you for the beautiful flowers."

"You're most welcome. Listen, I'm actually not that far away. I haven't had dinner though. Do you mind if I stop and get something and bring it over to eat? Actually, I could get something for you as well."

"I'm fine. My aunt cooked dinner for us," she said.

"Ok, see you in a few minutes."

"Bye," she said.

After Ashley combed her hair and brushed her teeth, she went to the kitchen to set up the tea so that she had only to heat the water. She checked the fridge to see whether she had wine if he preferred that. A half bottle of red was laying on the bottom shelf.

She was just putting away her journal when he knocked on the door. She smoothed her t-shirt, pushed back her hair, and checked her reflection one more time before opening the door.

"Hi," she said brightly leaning toward him to give him a kiss.

"Hi there. Those pajamas look comfortable."

"Sorry. I wasn't sure you'd be calling."

"It was a really long day of hurry up and wait. I think everyone was fairly frustrated."

For a moment, that statement bothered her. If he was waiting around, why not get in touch.

"Well now you're here, you can relax. I have tea ready to go or I have some red wine if you'd like."

"I would really like the tea for now if it's not too much trouble."

"Do you want to sit on the sofa or would you prefer the table?"
