Part 6

Riley walks into her room, slamming her door and sits on her bed, falling backwards.

Jace looks at Mary then to the stairs and back. "Why is her leg covered in bandages?"

"Skate boarding accident. Really bad gash on her thigh and a slight scrape on her knee. A few scrapes here and there. She cleans it three times a day. So it'll be fine." Mary informs.

"I thought i heard talking." John walks out of his offive, through the living room and to the foryard, holding a news paper. "Hello Jace. Mary has Riley gone to clean her wounds?"

"I think thats what she is doing now."

"Alright. Im gping to steel Jace then."

"It was nice seeing you mary."

Jace smiles and they walk into the office. Mary walks up to the third floor and finds Riley in her room, on her bed, hunched over. "Have you clean3d them.yet?" Riley shakes her head no. Mary sighs, grabbing the cleaning kit and kneels on the floor. "Here, let me see." Riley moves her arms and pulls off the bandages holding that are hiding her scrapes. "This one looks a little infected.."

"Were you ever a nurse?" Riley mumbles.

"I was  a nursing assistant my senior year of high school all the way up until i graduated from college."

"I didnt know that.."

"Mhm.." Mary covers the scrapes after she cleans them. "Do you want me to clean the dig one?"

"I can. Thank you."

"He's going to be sleeping on the second floor. So you don't have to worry about seeing him."

"Alright. I might take a nap.."

"Another one?" Mary asks, picking up the wrappers and throwing them away.

"Just tired." 

"Alright. Will you be joining us for dinner?" Mary asks, walking to the door." 

"I'll try." Riley climbs up to her pillows and gets under the blankets. Mary frowns and turns off her lights, closing the door, and heading down stairs. She walks into the living room and sits across from Jace's girlfriend. 

"Hello." The girl smiles. 

"Whats your name?" Mary asks. 

"Bella." 

"Now I'm usually very very nice to people but I want to make a few things very clear." Mary sits forward. "If you go to the third floor, do not bother my daughter. Don't be a bitch to my daughter. Don't make her talk, to you or Jace. You are a guest in our house you must be polite to us. Follow the rules and no one will say anything. We will all have a peaceful week and have fun." Bella just stares at Mary and nods. "Good." Mary smiles. "Lets get your bags and I'll show you to yours and Jace's room." Mary gets up.
