Part 8

Jace had gone and got John and Mary. They all run upstairs and John knocks on the door. "Baby girl, are you in there?"

Riley looks up at the door. "... Yeah. Just trying to relax.."

"Why dont you come out and we'll clean your cuts before bed..?" Mary says softly.

"Thank you, but i can do it... you two go back to sleep." Riley reaches up and pulls the shower curtain closed.

"Do you need any towels or scrubs?" Mary asks.

"No.. Im all set." Riley states in a shaky breath. Everyone stays quiet, listening to Riley cry.

John reaches the top of the door frame and grabs the key. "Are you naked?"

"N-no."

John looks at Mary as he quietly unlocks the door. "Get her bathrobe and some towels." He swings the door open letting all the steam leak into the hall. Jahn walks over to the shower, opens the curtain, turns the water off and picks up Riley, getting water everywhere. "You're going to catch a cold." He carries his daughter to her room and sets her in a chair, Mary walks in with warm towels and puts one around Riley's shoulders. Jace stands by the door and watches the scene unfold. After a half hour of drying and calming Riley down Mary and walk to the seco d floor.

"I dont know what you did to get to her but you need to stop. She's a depressed young lady. When it gets this bad, we dont see her for a few days. Just dont speak to her Jace. She needs to get better." Mary leaves Jace in the hall and goes to her room, closing the door.
