Love Will Tell 2 ✔ (Wattys2017)

Part 21

After a long day of cleaning, helped by Mo, Jace and John, Mary and Riley got the front end of the store cleaned the best they could. Jace went to get chinese food for dinner, and everyone stayed at the shop longer to finish cleaning.

"Tomorrow we can finish the back. We'll leave first thing tomorrow. Mo can you come in at 8, we'll pay over time." Mary asks.

"Yeah no problem. I just cant believe she did this though." Mo sighs.

"The back is worse.." Riley comments.

"How many dresses were ruined?" Mo asks.

"Thirty." Mary sighs.

"Out of fifty? How many that are required?"

"All." Riley lays her head on the desk, sighing.

Mary grabs her bag and hands RIley her phone. "We should all head home. To get some rest for tomorrow."

"Mine if I crash with you Riley?" Mo asks.

"Sure." Riley gets up and grabs her things.

"We'll see you at home." Jace and John head out to the car.

Molly, Riley and Mary get thsir things, lock and close and doors or windows, aside from the front door, and turn out all the lights. Mary puts her arm around Riley. "We'll get through this, we always do.." They walk outside, Mo in tow. She closes the door and locks it. Riley andary walk to Rileys car and Mo goes to hers. "We'll see you in a little while dear. Drive safe." Mary waves.

"You too." Mo smiles and gets into her car.

They all regroup at home. Riley hasn't spoken a word and Mary tried to cheer her up. Mo informed Jake about what happened today. Dinner was ready when they all got home. Half way through dinner Riley clears her throat. "If they accept the deals we made in Paris, I would like to move there to ensure everything goes well, to watch over everything." Everyone around the table goes quiet. 

"What about the store here?" Jace asks.

"Mary and Molly seem to do just fine when I'm not around. I would say hire one or two more people you really trust and then bam. you got your team." Riley explains. 

"Aubrey?" John asks.

"She'll stay with Jake. If you want, you guys and probably take her for a day or two to see her. Ill probably come once a month for half a week and take her out a bit." 

"Well... If you want too g right a head. It will be weird though. I got you back last year and now you're leaving to Paris.." John goes quiet. 

"We wont know for another few months. I may still be here during Christmas." Riley reassures her dad. 

"We wont see you weeks at a time.." He adds.

"I know. But dad think about it... My anxiety and depression will go down." Jace looks up from his plate, he looks from John to Riley. Without looking Riley points to Jace. "I wasnt talking about you." She sits back in her chair sighing. "I think i need a change of scenery. I need to be able to fend for myself with out my dad jumping in. Ill email and call you daily. And you know I will definitely come and see you, you know that." She smiles at her dad.

"We are accepting everything you want to do in life dear." Mary smiles from across the table.
