Part 12

Jake and Aubrey went home around 8 since she has day care in the morning. Mo is sleeping over and is still in the room with John,  Mary and Riley. "Gift time!" Mo gets up quickly, grabbing a box wrapped in shiny red wrapping paper.

"Molly, you have an appartment to pay for, you didn'thave too."

"You're my best friend, i wanted too." She hands the box to Riley.

Riley unwraps the box, opens it and covers her mouth wi th a shaky hand. "Photo's. So many photos."

"I couldnt get all of them but i got a lot. There's more under those."

Riley carefully pulls out the photos, one by one, until she finds the very first photo of Aubrey. "Man, she got so big..." Riley keeps that photo in her lap and sets aside the others. She picks up a smaller box and opens it. A necklace with a small moon pendant, written on it says 'night owl'. "Gosh this is so cuuuute." Going through tbe rest of the box she finds a RavenClaw scarf from harry potter, a snow glode since she used to collect them, two nee sketch pads and new scetching pencils. Riley leans over and hugs Mo. "Thank you."

John picks up the snow glone and tips it upside down and rigjt bsck up, watching the fake snow fall. "I got you your first snow globe, you were five. I had just gotten back from London. The globe had the bell tower Big Ben and a two decker bus. You loved it so much." John shares.

"I had it for such a long time." Riley adds.

"Is that the one you kept on your nightstand next to your photos?" Mo asks.

"Yeah. It was a photo of him and I. Im a sentimental person." Riley shrugs.

Mary gets up. "Ill be right back." She smiles, running out of the room.

"Sir, how old were ypu when your ex had Riley?"

"I was 20."

"So you're 40 now?" She asks.

"Yup. Best damn thing that happened to me." John comments as Mary walks in holding yet another box.

"How many boxes do you people own??" Riley asks jokingly with a smile on her face.
