Part 19

"Wow." Mary walks unyo the theater room. "You clean up well. Ready for work?"

"Yeah." Riley and Mary walks up to the ground floor. Riley grabs her shoulder bag and accordion folder. Mary grabs the back pack and box by the door. They load into Riley's car and drive the hour into the city. They walk up to the door, keys ready in Riley's hand. Mary stops in front of the door and Riley catches up. "What the hell...?" 

The once clear windowed door is now spray painted black, the two windows on either side of the door are smashed in. "Ill call the cops, you call your father." Mary and Riley pull out their phone. 

"Hey pumpkin whats up?" Her dad yawns. 

"Uh, we need you to come into the city. Somethings happened."

"Are you and Mary ok?" 

"Yeah. Can you come though." 

"Yeah. Ill get there as soon as possible."

"Drive safe." 

"I always do." 

Riley hangs up and walks over to Mary. "They're on their way. They said to just stay outside in case someone is still in there." 

-1 hour later.- 

John shows up with Jace. "What happened?" Jace asks. 

"Cops are inside looking around, one said there were dresses missing in the back.. We have to remake six dresses by next week." Riley sits on the bench on the sidewalk and puts her head in her hands.

"Im sorry this happened. Who the hell would do this?" Jace asks, sitting next to Riley, lightly rubbing her back. 

Mary walks up to them and pulls John aside. After talking they both look at the two sitting on the bench. "She's going to freak." John states. Mary and John walk back over. John clears his throat. "So the cops found someone inside. They have black paint on their hands.. Theyre going to bring her out. Jace you might want to hold her down." 

Jace puts his arm across her stomach, leaning a bit in front of her. Two cops come out of the burglarized store, in between them in ha.d cuffs is Bella. Riley stays quiet and watches as they put Bella in the back of the cruiser. John, Jace and Mary look back at Riley and see tears running down her cheeks.

"Why would someone do that to another? Ruin their lifes work.." She looks from her parents to Jace.

Riley pulla her sleeves over her hands and covers her face as Jace mives his arm.
