Thanksgiving-

"Riiiiileyyyy." Lilly runs into Riley's room, the door slamming against the wall behind it. She jumps on her sisters bed and lays next to her. Riley turns over and faces Lilly.

"Good morning princess." Riley says, smiling, in a hushed voice. "What time is it?" Her voice cracks.

"10. Mama (mawmaw) said I should come wake you up. We get to decorate the tree today and we get one small gift. Maybe you'll get one this year." Lilly smiles, giggling.

"I dont need any gifts dear. Im glad just being here."

Lillys smile disappears. "But you wont be here much longer. You're leaving after Christmas.."

"We don't know for sure Princess. We dont know if we have the deal yet. But no matter what i promise you, we will sleep in the living christmas eve like we did last year. So we can try to see santa." Lilly's smile reappeared.

"Mama wants to see you also. She said it was important."

"Ill be down in a minute. I just have to get dressed. Go tell her ill be right there."

"Ok!" Lilly hops out of bed, her thanksgiving dress falls around her legs and sways as she runs out of the room.

Riley gets out of bed, changes, brushes her dark brown locks, slips into her black flats and grabs her phone. She walks out of her room, leaving the door open, and walks down stairs. The first person she sees is 'papa jack' Jackson Bailey, Mary's father. "Well there you are." He smiles and opens his arms. Riley walks up to him laughing and hugs him.

"How are ya Jack?' She asks as they walk into the living room.

"Im doing well. How about you?"

Riley looks around the room and spots Jace. "Ive been better." They lock eyes, Jace nods slightly, and Riley looks away. "Hows retirement treating you?" She asks, sitting next to mama on the couch.

"I found out I get bored easily." Everyone in the room laughs. "What? Its true."

"No its not. You're just a boring old grizzly of a man." He wife, Rosalynn, retorts jokingly. "Hello dear." She smiles at Riley, pulling her into a hug. "How are you feeling? Your mom and dad told me last week you were sick."

"Ive been holding in a lot but I'll be fine."

"Holding in what?" Mary asks, setting hot cocoa on the table.

"A lot. Ill tell everyone tomorrow." She bites her lip and watcjes as Mary walks over to John with a worried look.

John puts an arm around Mary and lightly on the forhead. "We'll fight through it. We always do." He mumbles quietly to his wife then looks at his oldest.

"Did you relapse?" Alex asks.

"Even i know not to go there..." Ally comments as she sits on the ground with Lilly in front of the tree.

"That's the only thing she'd withhold from us on a holiday. If it were anything else she'd tell us..." Alex points out.

"But Alex, you dont just blurt that type of question out like that." Logan, the youngest boy states. (I dont remember the namr i originally gave him xD oh well)

"Is that why you had Jake pick  Aubery up last night?" John asks.

The room goes silent and everyone looks at Riley. "Could you please not look at me like that.. I haven't even told Jake or Mo yet.." She sighs. "Today was supposed to be a happy day.."

"When did you find out?" Jack asks.

"I had the tests done last week. I got the results yesterday in the mail.." Riley admits.

Mary starts crying, which worries the three youngest Logan, Ally and Lilly. "Ally. Could you takt Logan and Lilly outside to play?" She asks between sobs.

"What can they do to help get rid of it?" Rosalynn asks.

"Nothing... They said its all over my body. I called to talk to my doctor about.. Basically the scan lit up like a damn Christmas tree."

John sits Mary down in one of the chairs and walks over to his daughter, kneeling down infront of her. "Are you sure this is what they said?" He asks, his eyes getting watery.

"Positive.."

"How are you so calm about this?" Alex asks.

"Trust me.. Im breaking into pieces on the inside. I was going to tell everyone tomorrow." She looks around the room.
