This week has ended and Saturday morning arrives way too fast. Today is the wedding I've been helping to organize for the past week. Bill had me do many so different things to be prepared for today and I feel good about it. I think it will go as planned and hopefully no bumps happen along the way.
I get dressed into a light pink dress that Bill ordered for me to wear today. The top half is halter strap and the bottom is ruffled and stops just below my knees.
A lot of walking is expected for me today so I slip on a pair of comfortable sandals that match the dress, and light make up.
Once I'm finished and believe I'm ready, I head to the kitchen for some breakfast.
The Huntington's eat breakfast in their rooms so I don't join them for breakfast. Bill told me I am allowed to eat dinner with them every night. I have been so far but the tension is as thick as butter in the air during dinnertime. I still feel unwanted by Margie and Scarlet. Brandon is always thrilled and Jayden actually made his appearance once this week. But refused to look at me during the whole time.
He hasn't said a word to me since our midnight baking in the kitchen. If he wants to stay in his own bubble, oh well. I have too much to do then to chase him around, and beg him to speak to me. We make eye contact here and there, like passing in the hallway, but it doesn't last long.
"Izzy." I hear my name called and I see Sawyer pacing over to me as I reach the bottom of the stairs.
"Hey, whats up?" I ask when he reaches me.
"You know the roses that are supposed to set in the middle of each table? Well there ruined."
"What! What happened? How are they ruined?" I exclaim.
"The florist called, she said some one forgot to add the plant food so there already turning. She refuses to deliver them and she apologizes." he reports.
"Crap, what now? We have to have roses on those tables. That's what the bride wants." I started to panic.
It hasn't even started yet and there's already an issue. This isn't a good sign.
"I got this covered, don't worry. My mother is a florist as well, and she happens to have the exact same amount of roses at her shop. She will deliver them herself. I need to let Mr Huntington know so he wont pay the wrong people. Can you tell him for me? My mom will be here in an hour." he rushes out.
I release a breath. "Sawyer, you had me scared there at first, but I will tell him when I see him. He's probably still in his room."
"Thanks Izzy." he replies and hustles back out to the yard.
Breath Izzy, breath. The problem is solved so no need to start stressing already. I take a deep breath and head to the kitchen.
A whistle is heard to my right as I enter the kitchen. I look over and see Brandon sitting at the table with his eyes widened with shock.
"Izzy? I didn't know you could play dress up?" Brandon jokes.
I stick my tongue out at him and follow the smell of cinnamon rolls, freshly baked too.
"Oh now that's mature." he comments my behavior.
"Wow chick, looking good. Are you sure your not the one getting married?" Vicky glides over and gives me a wink.
"Thank you and no way. I will never get married." I laugh.
In my dreams, I'm married one day to a wonderful man that will take care of me, love me and understand me like no other. What girl doesn't have a dream man? We all know what we want but some of us aren't that lucky to find the man of our dreams. I swore to myself to never be like my mother. I would never give my heart out just for it to be stomped on, and waste my life covering up the heartbreak.
