I woke up and Pony was lying next to me just staring at me. I looked up at his since he was significantly taller than me by a good 6 inches.

"That is creepy. How long have you been watching me?" I asked him suspiciously. He chuckled and moved some hair out of my face.

"Only like 10 minutes. I woke up but didn't want to leave." He said with a smirk. I kissed his nose. He shook his head and pointed at his lips. I laughed, but kissed him anyway. "My first kiss as a man," he breathed out.

"And mine as a woman." I said as I stood up only to be pulled back down again. I laughed as he tickled me. "Let me go, Pony." I said between fits of laughter. I gather up enough air to say "Ponyboy Michael Curtis, Let me get dressed." He stops and I stand.

I grab one of his grey shirts from my drawer and through it at him. Then a pair of sweats he gave me. "Put that on for now. Soda is still sleeping he will wonder why you never went to bed last night. We are gonna get in enough trouble with Darry, don't need Sodapop on our backs too." He nods. I decide to change later.

"Fine," he say while taking of his pants and shirt leaving him in just his boxers. "Like what you see?" He laughs and pulls on the sweats and shirt.

We walk out of the room but before we go downstairs I give him a quick kiss on the lips. He looks confused. "Good luck kiss, we're gonna need it," I whisper as we walk down the stairs. I was right Soda isn't down here yet. Probably still sleeping. But, bad news, Darry was the only one awake.

"Hello, kiddos." Darry says unusually happy.

"What did you do with the Darrel Shaynne Curtis Jr. that we have come to know and deal with?" I asked in a tone that made it sound like an interrogation.

"What happened to the baby girl Jasmine Nicole Winston that we have all come to protect and deal with for 15 years?" Darry asked in the same tone. His eye softened. "Happy birthday kids. And don't think we're not gonna talk about last night. Curfew is a law under this roof."

"That and another gazillion thing," I mumbled under my breath so only Pony heard. He chuckled.

"What was that, little missy," He went back to his interrogation voice.

"Nothin'," I said in a sing-songy voice that sounded way to innocent. He looked at me. He got up from his chair and went to the kitchen and started making blueberry pancakes, me and Pony's favorite.

"So Pony you want to spend the day just you and me or do you want to hang with the gang?" I asked him. He sat down on the couch. I laid down with my head in his lap. He shrugged.

"Both. We can go on our own for a little while, then come back home. Do you want to see Dally?" When he said Dally I felt myself fill with anger, my blood boiling under the surface.

"No, I don't wanna see Dally. And yeah lets spend some of the day with the gang, but I want to spend most of our birthday with you." He leaned down and pecked my lips. "Is that a yes?"

"Of course."

"Breakfast is ready," Darry hollered from the kitchen. I swear he is a ninja cook, so fast.

Soda came tumbling down the stairs.

"Happy birthday kids." Soda said patting our heads.

"No hagas eso," I said in Spanish. (Don't do that) "¡Le pegaré jodiendo a la cabeza al jefe en!" (I will beat your f*cking head in)

"Don't break out the Spanish on me Jazz. You know none of us understand you," Soda said defensively.

"Exactly why I use it."
