I wake up to a bright light in my face. At firat I can't see anything but then I look at the person holding it the light. Its a woman. In her early thirties, she has light brown hair and almost black eyes like Johnny. She was wearing a uniform, I don't know for what but a uniform.
"Thank God you're alive," she said relieved. I looked at her confused. I slowly moving the light out of my face to see her clearly. "Oh sorry," she turned off the light. "My name is Officer Marlin. Why are you on this train?"
I shrugged. I didn't trust myself to speak. But I tried. "I don't know," I got out.
"Where are you from?" She asked slowly.
"Can you stop yelling, I'm a little hungover. And I'm from Tulsa, Oklahoma." I said getting a little frustrated.
"Name?"
"Jazz."
"Full name," she sounded annoyed with me.
"Jasmine Nicole Winston," I responded holding the bridge of my nose. The hangover hitting me with all its force. "Can I ask you where I am?"
"We're still in Tulsa, I've heard that last name before. Got any family?"
"Dallas Winston. One of the biggest police records in Oklahoma. My brother. "
She helped me off the train and into a police car down to the station. The cat sounded like a volcano. We hit about 4 speed bumps that gave me a head rush.
Downside to drinking; hangover. We pulled into the parking lot. And walked into the station.
"Who do we call for you?" A middle-aged man with a grey moustache behind a desk asked me. "Your brother?"
"No. Call Darrel Curtis. " I said 'no' too quickly. He looked at me uncertain. "My brother is in the cooler." He dialed the number and told me to wait in the holding cell. Two guards escorted me into a small white room with cement bunk beds coming out of the wall. I hope I'm not here long.
****Pony POV****
I heard the phone ring at four in the morning. I answered.
"Hello," I half said not wanting to wake anybody.
"Hi. Can I speak to Darrel Curtis, please," The man on the other end said. I didn't know what to do, but if this guy was calling at four in the morning must be important.
"Give me a second." I walked up the stairs and into Darry's room. Man he was the one in charge but he still had a room like a teenager. Everything was on the floor. I walked over to him and shook him lightly "Darry, the phone is for you," I whispered in his ear. I did that one more time before he woke up.
"What the hell, Ponyboy." He was tie ed but still mad.
"The phone is for you," I said. He got up and followed me to the phone He picked it up.
"Darrel Curtis speaking... Really" he said and his eyes suddenly completely awake. "You found her..... I'll be right there," he hangs up.
"Well what was so God damn important that they had to call us at 4 am?" I ask.
"They found Jasmine on the 315 freight train. She is down at the station." He walks up to his room to change.
I didn't sleep. After me and Steve beat up those Socs that were about to hurt Jazz she ran. I didn't go to sleep. I sat on the couch.
He came out in sweat pants and a t-shirt."Can I come?" I pleaded.
"Are you still drunk?"
"No."
