Four days rolled by, each filled with battle preparations, strategies and training. Everyone was constantly busy and had no time to spear. Sleep was cut back and dinners made simple and easy, (Y/n) often found herself eating her meals as she walked; with her being the Princess she had no time to spare, not even for a simple meal. Tsukishima too also had little time to spare, with him having to be within a four meter radius of (Y/n) at all times, apart from bathroom breaks and when they slept.
"Time was little" as Daichi would put it, "There is not enough time to do lesural things like we used to." Tiredness could been seen in the faces of many of the soldiers and staff, them not being used to working so much and only being rewarded with little sleep and little meals. It was tough but it was the best they could do. Compared to many of the other Kingdom's army they themselves looked as though they were taking the easy path. Other Kingdom's trained harder and longer, they would do more complex things and their sleeping time would only be three to four hours whereas as they got five to six.
(Y/n) yawned as she crossed the field, making her daily check of the progress of the army. Tsukishima looked at her at the sudden sound and shook his head, "Princess you are yawning again. Looking tired in front of all these soldiers isn't really helping them at all. Knowing that their Princess is strong and ready at all times gives them faith."
"Yeah well it also makes it look like I get more sleep and better food than them so it's best to keep up the tired act. Besides most of them already know how much of a slacker I am." (Y/n) stopped to watch two soldiers spare against each other using doubled spears. Both had no idea what they were doing with them. (Y/n) sighed and strode over to them.
"Have you not been taught how to use these yet?" She asked causing them to stop and look down at the ground in embarrassment.
"Uh n-no Princess, the General has been busy with the others and hasn't had time to teach us yet." One stuttered trying to hide his face under his long silver hair.
"Well I guess I will have to show you myself. Come Tsukishima, we will teach them." (Y/n) ordered taking one of the double spears.
"Are you sure Princess? Or is this just an excuse to get out of your rounds?" Tsukishima sneered.
"No, I'm helping my people. Besides those rounds are pointless, why must I make them, I'm not a General or Commander and it's pretty obvious everyone is training. Now take that spear and fight me." Her back was to male as she adjusted the spear to her fit in her hands better. Turning around she pointing one side at the megane who stood there holding his spear loosely in his hands.
"Alright Knight, come at me." (Y/n) challenged, "Unless you are too afraid to be beat by a girl of course."
"Tch, like I would be afraid of you." He scoffed tightening his spear and getting into a defensive stance. "Prepare yourself to lose, badly."
"I believe you are the one to lose." (Y/n) flicked her (h/l) and got into her own stance. "One. Two. Fight!"
Both opponents ran at each other, each trying to attack the other while defending at the same time. Spears clashed and spun around. (Y/n) was blocked many of the times by Tsukishima often finding herself jumping back and charging forwards again. She was determined to beat Tsukishima and to show her people that she could win a fight without assistance.
However the fight soon ended and (Y/n) found herself crashing to the floor the back of her head smacking against the ground, she let out a pained moan as she blinked away the blurriness in her vision. When it was clear she saw Tsukishima standing over her, spear pointed at her neck. "You know if I were the enemy you would be dead right now. Actually you probably would have been dead a while ago, but I chose to stick to basic maneuvers to show these guys the basic skills of spear combat."
