We Can Make It Great Again- A Tsukishima x Reader Fanfiction

Chapter 5

(Y/n) awoke early the next morning to see off the people of Nekoma. "Are you sure you don't want us to stay a few extra days?" Kuroo asked her, concern filling his voice.

"Guys I'll be fine, as weak as we may look compared to Aoba Jousai we can still fight and if it gets too bad I'll call for you to help." The (h/c) reassured them.

"But what if we don't arrive fast enough. Or the messenger takes too longer to get here or-" Yaku was cut off by Sugawara.

"Relax Yaku, you are forgetting that we have mages for if it goes bad. If I remember correctly Ennoshita had recently mastered teleportation. So we can just use that if things get to bad."

"Alright then." Yaku wasn't too convinced but accepted it anyway.

"Yeah Ennoshita will rescue us if it needs be!" Hinata yelled out causing Ennoshita to go red in the face. Yamaguchi patted his back in a reassuring way.

"Hinata don't be putting too much pressure on him  now." Daichi warned to which Hinata nodded.

"Well lets just hope that this knight of yours here will be reliable." Kuroo said trying to divert the attention away from the worrying teen.

"Yeah well I don't need him. Guys I'm not useless, I can fight. Besides I don't want him of all people saving me, God that'll be embarassing." (Y/n) babbled on complaining about how she was a strong and independent woman who don't need no man to save her.

"Alright well we better head off then. If we leave now we will be able to make it back before it gets dark." Kuroo commented.

"Okay then. Stay safe on those roads." (Y/n) farewelled hugging the short puddinghead King. Lev jumped over and joined the hug, which ended up with Yaku kicking his butt. (Y/n) laughed as they let go patting the tall half Russian on the back, earning a giant smile from him.

The got into the carriage and started off, with Asahi closing the gates behind them. Lev leaned out of the open window and waved goodbye. (Y/n) laughed when she could hear Yaku and Kuroo screaming at Lev to get back in the carriage.

The smile left (Y/n) face once the carriage was out of sight. Turning around she looked at Daichi with grim face. "Right now that they are gone we can talk for real. Gather the members into the meeting room we need to discuss our plans here."

Tsukishima was a bit shocked at her change of attitude but covered his expression with his usual bored expression. He didn't think he would ever be able to get used to her quick change in attitudes. Shaking his head, he followed after (Y/n) as they headed back into the castle. They arrived shortly at her room where she told him to wait for her outside.

"Yachi you in here?" (Y/n)  called out for her friend.

"Yeah, I'm just in the bathroom." Came her quiet reply. Going into the bathroom she saw the blonde cleaning out the bath tub.

"Come on Yachi you can do that later, I need you to get my uniform ready please." (Y/n) asked. Yachi's expression cheerful expression changed to a mutual one when she heard her tone. (Y/n)  usually doesn't have that tone of voice unless something serious is happening. Shaking her head she grabbed the girl's uniform and brought it over to her. She helped put the uniform on. doing up all of the buttons. Once that was done she put her (h/l) hair up into a simple yet stylish ponytail.

(Y/n) thanked her and left the room to see Tsukishima resting against the wall opposite her room. "Come one we have to go, everyone is mostly likely there already."

Together they walked off to the meeting room, murmurs of voices could be heard coming from the other side of the door. (Y/n) pushed open the doors and let them slam closed behind her, gaining the attention of everyone in the room. She sat her chair at the head of the table opposite Daichi and near Sugawara and Tsukishima.
