Chapter 10

(Y/n) woke up to see Kageyama stumbling in through the door. She laid still as she watched Daichi spring from his spot and support the struggling teen. Leading him over he sat him down on the table

"What happened out there? What took you so long to get here?" Daichi's voice was filled with concern as he questioned him.

Kageyama coughed and tried to answer but only coughed more. Daichi passed him some water and let him take a moment to find his voice back. "Oikawa was with them, did you know that?"

Daichi's eyes widened, he hadn't expected that the king of Aoba Josai was going to present as well, "I did not."

"Well he was, he was the reason as to why I took so long." He coughed again taking another sip of water.

Daichi motioned for him to continue. "Well as you would probably know, I used to work under Oikawa, he would teach me how to use weapons along with other things. However I got better as the years went on and soon Oikawa feared that I would surpass him and earn everyone's praise and interest. So being jealous with me he faked being innocent and so I that got me exiled from the Kingdom which is why I know live and work in Karasuno."

"Okay but that doesn't explain as to why he held you up today." Daichi grumbled.

"Give me a moment and I will explain." Kageyama protested.

*At the Karasuno Castle, 20 hours ago*

The first bomb struck the castle, jostling Kageyama awake. It didn't take long for another few bombs to hit before he released that Aoba Josai had sieged the castle. Getting up he threw on his armour and grabbed his weapons and exited his room with haste.

The plant that was put together for if they were attacked was to leave the castle as fast as they could and make their way to the safe spot without being followed or seen. Kageyama was doing with his escape, his darkly dressed from sticking close to the shadows. Just as he was about to escape out one of the back doors he ran into a group of eight enemy soldiers, all dressed in the blue and white armour that represent Aoba Jousai.

He was immediately engaged in battle but they were no match for a skilled weapons master and the fight was soon one with Kageyama continuing forwards. However having been engaged in battle before lost him precious time and in this time he lost was time that allowed Oikawa and his knight Iwaizumi to find him. Having had the history he had had with the jealous King it was only natural that he would try and find Kageyama, which he succeeded in.

"Tobio-chan!" He called out mockingly causing the ravenette to whip around to the voice calling his name. Kageyama's eyes widen once he saw Oikawa, his heart sped up and his breathing quickened. For the first time in a long time he began to panick.

"Tobio-chan how is Karasuno serving you? Good I hope." Oikawa chuckled.

"Oikawa you dumbass don't be harassing Kageyama and find the Princess like we planned to do." Iwazumi scolded smacking him in the back of the head. Kageyama's eyes widen when the Princess was mentioned. Of course they would be looking for her and now knowing that his Princess was targeted even more he took it upon himself to distract Oikawa long enough for Tsukishima to do his job and escape safely with (Y/n).

"Right sorry, Iwa-chan. Another time then Tobio-chan." Oikawa smirked darkly and spun around, his blue cape fanning out around him.

"Wait! There may not be another time Oikawa. I don't think what you did to me all those years ago was fair. And so to make it up to me I want a fair battle. No cheating. No lying. No faking. A fair battle, with no interruptions." Kageyama stalled. 'I hope this will give them time. Better yet I hope I get out of this alive.'
