"Wake up, wake up deary!"

I open my eyes and see an old lady standing over me. I slowly rise and look around.

Wait, where am I? This is definetly not my room.

"You're in the pack house dear. Tell me you don't have amnesia?" I must have said my thoughts aloud. I blink at her while everything comes flooding back to me.

Last night was a blur. When the man escorted me here, I fell face-first on the bed and fell asleep. I never got to see the entire room. Now I can. I am in a king-sized bed, in a room that is the size of two classrooms. I see a door near my bed and another on the far corner. Probably a bathroom and a closet. The room is no-nonsense, it is plain white except for the doors which are black.

The old lady opens some windows and the sunlight comes streaking in. Trying to reach me. Trying to wake me out of my stupor. I rub my eyes and cover my face with a pillow, not wanting to get up from this fluffy and soft bed.

"Come on dear, you still have to eat breakfast don't you? Come on, up up up!" she claps her hands. My stomach replies and I slowly sit up.

"What time is it?" I say, yawning.

"Around five? Now get up!"

"Five?! For breakfast?! We don't even eat breakfast at six!"

"Do you want to eat breakfast?" She gives me a disapproving look.

"Like I said, I'm up!" I rise and head to the bathroom.

I look at my reflection and nearly scream. I shriek but cover my mouth.

I see my hair up in odd angles, and even you would wonder how that got there. My face is full of creases and marks from the bed. My day-old uniform is wrinkled and some buttons are open.

I peek into the room again and ask, "Do you have any spare clothes?"

"In the closet sweety" comes the reply.

I scrub myself down in the bath and wrap myself in a towel. I exit the bathroom and went in the closet. I say in. It's actually a walk-in closet that's about the size of an actual room. I see tops, skirts, dresses, pants, shoes, jewelry, belts, whatever. I grab the first thing I see. I pull out an off-shoulder top paired with jean shorts. Oh well, I'm too lazy to get something else. I grab a pair of flats and head out.

I walk around feeling lost until I see someone leaning over a table.

"Uh, excuse me?" I say, feeling concious and shy.

The man turns around and I see it is the man in the office from yesterday. His eyes crinkle when he sees me.

"Lost? I was just about to go to the dining hall." He beckons me to follow him.

If I was impressed by the bedroom, I am more impressed by the dining hall, that doesn't look like a hall. It looks like half a football stadium.

In it are people of different ages. I see a toddler crawling about and an old man hobbling with a stick. Some are eating, some are standing, some are just chatting with others.

"Come," He briskly says. I follow him as he heads to a long table in the middle. He sits in the head of the table while I awkwardly stand, unsure of what to do.

"Sit, sit," he pats the chair beside him. "That's usually where my brother sits, but he's not here at the moment."

I sit and a servant comes to serve me. "No, please, I'll do it," I say, grabbing the ladle she is holding. I serve myself soup and even take the pot from her. She resists but I say, "I insist." I go around the room serving others. I hear wolf whistles from one corner of the room, I wonder what's with that.

"It's what you're wearing," the man in the office from yesterday says gesturing at me.

I blush and he laughs, earning the glances of others. Their eyes don't linger on him for too long, it's as if they are afraid of him. I guess he's the man who calls the shots.

I start to stand up to go back to my room and change, but he says, "Don't change. You're here now. And besides, if you leave there probably wouldn't be anything left when you come back." With that, I sit back down.

"Alpha, who's the girl?" I hear someone ask. I turn around and find a group of boys around my age approaching the table. I turn back around, suddenly conscious of what I am wearing.

"This is Elle," the man replies.

"Alpha? Is that your name?" I ask and regret as soon as I blurt it out.

Laughter erupts from the room. I look down at the floor. I must be beet-red right now.

"No, my name is Will. Alpha's just uh, a nickname," he says, oblivious to all the laughter.

"Nickname? What--" a boy starts to say but he is elbowed by his friend.

I continue eating, not because of the awkwardness but because the food seems delicious and my stomach is killing me.

A bell rings and everyone stands up and leaves. I reluctantly start to stand, but Will makes me sit. "It's standard protocol. You don't have to do it." I nod and continue to eat. By this time, the room is empty and we are the only ones in it. I finish my food and excuse myself to change. He nods absentmindedly and I leave.

Back in my room I change into a pair of sweatpants and a sweater. I grab a pair of sneakers.

I go outside, wanting to go walk around. I haven't stretched my legs yet, therefore making them all stiff.

I go out and see people running. Some jogging, some walking, some are full-on sprinting. There are others to the side jumproping, throwing frisbees around and some were just working out. I see the boys from earlier in the corner doing sit-ups. I approach them to ask where was a bathroom.

"Fifty-one, fifty-two-- Dang it!" one of them says in disappointment when he collapses on the floor.

"Uh, excuse me?" The boys stop working out and they look at me. I blush because of the attention.

"Yeah?" one of them finally says.

"C-could you tell me where's the bathroom?" I bite my lip and stare at my feet.

One of them stands and asks me to follow him to the mansion. I do, and when we're a fair distance away, he keeps pace with me.

"You know, I know someone who may like you," he whispers. He points to a part of the house and he leaves me alone, dumbfounded.

After freshening up, I walk back. But somehow, I get lost in the maze of hallways again. I find myself in an old-fashioned hallway. I walk fast, because I am seriously scared.

I break into an almost-run, but reach a dead-end. I stop with my heart beating fast and my breathing uneven from the run.

I turn and collide with a wall. I hear a grunt and suddenly I realize that it was not a wall. It was Will.

"Lost again I see? Come, let's go outside. It's a cloudy day today."
