"Oh God!" I yell between retches. I'm in my bathroom and it smells bad in here.
That's right, I'm throwing up.
It's been two weeks since I was hospitalized and a week after I got discharged. So far, so good. Except for now. I think I ate something wrong.
"You and Austin do the dirty fast huh?" someone says from behind the door.
"Jace, not now!" I manage to say before I hurl my breakfast down the little toilet.
"I swear I told Austin about protection," he says.
"Shut up!"
"Austin!" he yells down the hall.
"No!" I yell. I throw up some more of my breakfast.
"What you big oaf?" I hear Austin say irritatedly.
"E—" Jace's interrupted by my retching.
"Ugh!" The door bangs open, yet my throwing up doesn't falter.
"Elle? Are you okay?"
"No man, she's definitely not okay! She's knocked up!" Jace says. "Oh, it stinks in here." I'm assuming he went in the bathroom. Which, might I add, is not built for two werewolves and a girl throwing up.
"Knocked up?!" I hear a crunch and Jace's moaning in pain. "What did you mean by that?!" Austin roars. I might be terrified, but I'm puking my guts out here.
"Did you get her pregnant? Because if you did—"
"I'm not pregnant! Jeez!" I wipe some sweat of my brow and turn to face them.
Jace is pressed up against the walls with his feet barely touching the ground while Austin is holding him up by his hands.
"You're not?" Their reactions contradict each other because Jace's is sad while Austin's happy.
"Why're you sad?" I ask Jace. "Austin, put him down." Austin obliges, looking shameful.
"I wanted to be a godfather," Jace mumbled, looking at the floor.
"Jace, do you really want to be a godfather?" I ask him.
"Yes!" he says too enthusiastically. Austin looks at me with an funny look on his face.
"Good luck. I'm not getting knocked up today." I proceed to the sink to wash the vomit off my mouth.
"Tomorrow then?"
"No, Jace. Not anytime soon." I look at Austin through the mirror and see a disappointed expression on his face.
"Jace, Austin, out of the bathroom. Now." They reluctantly oblige and I hear them conversing through the walls.
I take a long shower and wrap the towel around my body, securing it tightly. I'm preparing to run from my bathroom to my closet.
One, two... three!
I burst out of the door and run like there's no tomorrow.
Mission accomplished, I thought to myself. I throw on an oversized t-shirt and sweatpants. Just as I finish putting on the shirt the door opens.
"Holy!"
"Austin! I could have been naked!" I throw a shoe I picked up at him. It hits him on the arm but he ignores it. Instead he's laughing his arse off.
"Really? A shoe?" he laughs.
"Austin, out!" I must be beet-red right now.
"Hurry up. We need to talk." Austin leaves and the door softly closes shut behind him.
