[CHAPTER #6]Yeonji's Point Of View
Seokjin and I have been on no speaking terms all week since Monday. It is now Friday and we have been going through the same routine. Wake up, eat, classes, eat, sleep. We end up not speaking to each other at all. He is always out the dorm before I could even spare a word. Even at lunch and dinner time did he ignore me.
I guess it does have some benefits. I find it awkward to hang around the Bangtan boys while me and Seokjin are in an argument, so I decide to make new friends. In fact, they were the ones who approached me first.
"Hi!" a girl I recognised from my class says.
"Anneyong, I don't believe we have met," I reply politely.
"My name is Lee Nintae and this is my twin sister Chintae. We saw you walking on your own and sitting alone at lunch. We wondered if you'd like to hang out with us?"
How nice! I haven't yet made any girl friends at this school. Maybe now is my chance. They're extremely pretty and practically identical twins!
"That would be great! I haven't made many friends here yet," except from the boys of course.
"Ah, no worries, you seem really nice and so we want to make friends with you,"
Nintae and Chintae are twins that are based in the multilingual department. In my opinion, it's the most difficult, because apart from having their own dialect, they must also study another language, plus the compulsory language English. Chinyea (the older twin) is studying French and English, but Nintae is studying Filipino - like me - and English.
I say bye to the twins as I leave drama class. It's dinner time now, but they won't be joining me. They have a detention scheduled for being 'too in unison' when answering in class. They're twins.. What else can you expect?
However, I am incredibly thankful that today's lesson was just studying theory, because I don't know what I would do if I had to talk to Seokjin. I hate what this has come to. I can't even look him in the eye anymore. We still shared a work bench, but I try my best to not acknowledge him and just get on with work.
"Yeonji-ah!" Jimin calls, running after me.
"Anneyong Jimin,"
"Can I join you for dinner?" he asks following behind me into the dinner queue.
"Of course!"
We sit down at a table for two and begin eating our meal. I am very hungry after skipping lunch. I don't know why I did. Maybe I was trying to avoid the Bangtan boys. I don't want it to be that way, but I feel as if it gets awkward if I'm there.
"Oh! Why didn't you get dessert? It's chocolate fudge cake today," he queries accusingly, as if I commit a crime.
"Well... I've decided to put myself on a diet. I need to keep my figure in shape for the dance project. Who knows what the Elite dancers will say if they see my flabby stomach?" I answer honestly.
"That's bullshit!" he shouts a little too loudly, "Here."
He spoons a piece of the cake and holds it up to my mouth. It does look extremely delicious, but, no. I can't give in to temptation.
"Eat it,"
"No."
"Yeonji-ahh, I insist. One piece of cake will not hurt you. Besides, you're so skinny," he debates, still holding the spoon to my face. I don't budge and keep my poker face on show. He waits longer and raises an eyebrow at me. Gah! Don't look at me like that Park Jimin! I blush at the way he looks at me. I hope it doesn't show!
