[CHAPTER #5]

Yeonji's Point Of View

I arrive at the dance studio and the size of it amazes me. The whole room has mirrors as walls and a glossy wooden floor. I've never been in a studio this spacious and big. Everyone is in their own space stretching - as most dancers do. I can tell they are all dancers because of their sports wear; they're wearing some of the highest branding of sports wear.

I place my bag at the back of the studio and do the same as everyone else. I first stretch my legs and make my way up to my neck. I'm prepared to work hard in this dance class. It is apparently the most popular department that was applied for. The class is made of up six girls and six boys - more than our drama class. The classing system is really confusing.

"So class," our dance instructor introduces. She is wearing a mic headset and her voice can be heard through the speakers in the roof.

"As you may have heard, your first two weeks are going to be you preparing a singing, dancing and acting performance. You are not required to be with the same partners for each subject, but it is recommended. Your music is this," she explains then pressing the play button on a remote.

The song is slow and quite sensual.  Lyrical type of music. There is a jazzy vibe to it, but it is a good lyrical piece. I start thinking of what I could possibly do for this dance. Most of it is quite dirty, but it fits the music well.

"This music is designed for a girl and boy partnership, so if you want a high mark, please take my advice," she shouts over the mic.

I look around and see everyone pairing up. Hopefully I don't get stuck with someone stubborn.

"Yeonji!" Jimin calls as he runs over from a side of the studio, "Be my partner for the dance project."

"Sure," I agree and he smiles widely at me. He's incredibly handsome, and tall for sixteen.

"I hope you're a good dancer, I have big plans for this project," he says grinning. I'm suddenly excited to start working.

I allow him to take the lead and chip in my ideas here and there. He's a brilliant dancer I have to say. We get through a lot of the choreography in the time we get in class, but I was still unsure about one part.

"Hey, Jimin. Can you show me the part wear you're behind me. I don't quite understand," I confess. He smiles and takes position.

"So my hands are here. I hope you don't mind," he explains, placing his hands on my waist.

"I-It's fine," I stutter as he places his gentle hands around my waist. His touch is polite, but it erupts a different feeling in me.

"Uh, wear are my hands?"

He takes my hands and places them up around his neck. I release a breath at how we were standing. This should feel awkward, but it doesn't. It feels somewhat comfortable as if it's just right.

"So, my hands go from your waist to your stomach area and do a circular motion," He explains while doing as he says, "And then I grab your hands from my neck and you slide into the box splits."

I try sliding down into the splits, but I can't seem to do it to his counting. He laughs at my attempt.

"Don't worry, I'll hold support wrists and help you get down in time,"

I retry and his hands take my wrists. I slide down expecting for the pressure to build up in where he is holding me, but am surprised to feel nothing. He must be supporting all of my weight. How strong.
