[CHAPTER #16]Seokjin's Point of View
This party is lit. The flashing lights are almost blinding and the music is loud enough to spill a glass of champagne on a flat surface. I lost Yeonji about a half an hour ago when she was pulled away by some guy. I saw that she knew him, so I let them get along. I hope I'm right in trusting him, but then again I trust Yeonji more. Right now, I'm walking around the hall on my way to the bar. I don't usually drink, but I'm in the mood for something... stronger.
"Hey, you!"
I ignore the shrilling voice and continue my way to the bar. I push past the crowds of people and am about to reach the bar before being yanked back by the sleeve.
"Yah! Oppa! I'm talking to you!" a teen aged girl yells, while yanking my wrist for me to face her. I try to make out her features in the dark hall. She's about Yeonji's height maybe shorter. Her hair is long, black and straight. She's wearing a short dress that ends mid thigh and hugs her body a bit too tightly. She should be careful wearing them kind of clothes
"Do I know you?" I ask, clearly confused from the new face that just grabbed my attention.
"No, but I want to know you," she giggles taking my hand. I pull my hand back and step away from her. She's just another one of them desperate girls. But what is a girl like her doing at an event like this?
"I'm married thank you very much and apparently way too old for you," I lie and turn back in the direction I was walking in.
"I know you're not married, Oppa!"
"And how would you know that?" I challenge abruptly. She grabs me arm and links it with hers pulling me away.
"Saneul told me. She's the one who invited me here anyways," she laughs, "She said you're not really together and said I have a shot with you. So, here I am."
Damn you, Saneul. There better be a good reason for you to be sending your slutty friends to me when I'm taken.
"Well I may not be married, but she is still my girlfriend," I express with annoyance. I try shaking her off my arm, but she just clings tighter.
"Yah! Girlfriend? I'm sure she was getting it on with some other guy by the toilets," she argues. Did I hear her correctly?
"Getting it on?"
"Ne. Like making out and shit. I'd say it went further than that-,"
And with that I took off towards the toilets. There was one thing I knew about my Yeonji, and that was that she would never stoop so low as to lose her pride to a drunken man at a club.
FLASHBACK
"Ew, how can two people do that in public," Yeonji grimaces at the couple eating each others faces in the corner.
"Yah, you would probably do that with your boyfriend when you get one," I mock. She pushes me slightly and gives me a disapproving look.
"I wouldn't. There's a thing called pride and also self decency. I wouldn't let myself give that up to make out with anyone for that manner," she bickers angrily.
"I'm just teasing Onji, you're too pure to do any of that kind of stuff,"
"YAH! WHAT'S THAT SUPPOSED TO MEAN?" she yells hitting me with her books. I laugh at her and give her a side hug.
"What I'm saying is that I know you wouldn't be like that girl,"
"Of course not! I'm not that kind of person who will hook up with a stranger when I'm drunk," she rants for longer. This is the girl I currently have a growing crush on. She's a sassy bitch, but has the truest and purest heart.
