[CHAPTER #12]

Yeonji's Point Of View

"Jin," I whisper in the darkness of our dorm, "Jin, Wake up!"

He groans and rolls over in my bed. Yes, I said that correctly.

Since the day of the examinations, Jin and I have grown somewhat closer. From what I remember, he ended up falling asleep in my bed. Don't worry, nothing happened. It's become a silly habit now. In our evening time, we would study together in one bed and end up falling asleep there. It doesn't mean anything, because we don't have feelings for each other. I don't think anyways. Just friends.

It's currently Saturday 23rd of October: the last day of the first semester out of six. Our results from our examinations come today, which is why I am ushering Jin out of my bed at approximately seven in the morning.

"KIM SEOKJIN!" I try to shout in a loud whisper. He groans again but sits up. His hair is messy and sticking up in different directions.

"What is it Onji-ah?"

"Our results are here," I sing gesturing to the two envelopes that have been posted under our door. He pauses and then runs to grab the envelope from my hand. I squeal before attempting to rip the seal.

"Wait, let's open each others," he says excitedly. I oblige and we swap envelopes.

"Let's count to three and open them,"

"Hana...Dul...Set!"

We tear open the envelope and unveil the multiple pieces of paper in our hands. I am very surprised at Jin's results.

SINGING: A

DANCING: A+

ACTING: A++

"Woh! Jin you're results are so good!" I burst out in pride. A++! Like, who knew that was even possible!

"Yeonji-ssi! Yours are better!" he screams. We swap back and I am overjoyed at my results.

SINGING: A+

DANCING: A+

ACTING: A++

I shout in delight and start jumping up and down on the spot, making Jin give me a weird look. Good grades always meant something to me. My parents would usually treat me, but I guess I can treat myself instead, since they aren't here.

But in all seriousness... An A++! How is that even possible? I look over the comments that the examiners left and they are all extremely positive.

SINGING: Your vocal range is very wide and your singing style is unique. Brilliant breath control and ad-libs. Very Impressive performance!

DANCING: Partnership was well thought out. Both had equal contributions to the performance and both relied on each other. Expression in face and body shows good understanding of music with their chosen style. I thoroughly enjoyed watching.

ACTING: The acting was faultless. It was as if I was watching a K-drama! It felt incredibly natural and didn't have any aspects of awkwardness or hesitation. Extremely well done!

I smile at the comments left for the acting exam. It's ironic at how they said it looked natural, because really it was. I'm just glad that I did a good enough job, bearing mind I had little to no clue what I was actually doing.

"Onji, read the last piece of paper out," Jin says as he goes back to lie on my bed. Typical.

"Dear Miss Chin, I am proud to single you and ten others out as having the best performances we examined this year. We would like to offer you an opportunity to perform for three special signing companies, three years prior to your graduation. You will be grouped with those in your singing department, whose names are as follows: Kim Seokjin, Jung Hoseok, Kim Namjoon, Min Yoongi, Park Jimin, Kim Taehyung and Jeon Jungkook. Your performance date is November 11th. Best of luck," I read out carefully.
