Two broken Souls

Chapter 16:

          Carol ripped away from my arms and ran back to camp sobbing.

I stayed frozen on my knees on the ground looking at the devastation

around me,dead walkers where on the ground in front of the barn.The

Greene family was crying and Beth held a female walker's body.The

walker started to squirm around and I snapped suddenly stabbing it

in the head.Maggie pulled Beth away from what was her mother and

Daryl pulled me away silently.

            Everyone was either in shock or crying as we walked back

to the house, I followed silently with Daryl.Rick and Shane were

argueing in front of Hershel's porch while the Greene family

were walking inside,"Leave all of you off my barn!"Hershel

yells stomping inside with the rest of his family. Rick turned to us,

"Let's all bury Sopia and Hershel's family,burn the rest,"Rick said.

Daryl,Andrea,Glenn,T-dog, and I got to work immediatly, while the

others did daily chores.

           After we burnt the other walkers we covered

Hersel's family and Sophie in makeshift body bags and put them

in Daryl's pick up truck.T-dog,Glenn,and Andrea sat in the truck

while Daryl and I jumped in the back.While were driving back

T-dog hit a bump, and my hurt ankle hit thet back of the truck I

cried out, letting go off the side of the trunk.T-dog hit another

bump so hard I almost fell out of the truck if not for Daryl grabbing

me by the waist and pulling me away back in the trunk with him.

"Are you alright?"Daryl asked me as I hissed in pain.

           "Fucking peachy,"I said gritting my teeth.After a few moments

the pain went away, and we got to our camp.

            Daryl bent down in front of me with his back to me while I

was sittin at the edge of the trunk,"Come on we'll go get Carol,

I can't have you walking on tat ankle anymore,"I didn't argue and

got on his back.

           "You know this is real comfy, you should give me piggyback

rides more often,"I said and he looked over his shoulder at me

chuckling.

            "How can you be this light,it's like your some type of koala

bear?"He said chuckling.

            I laughed,"I've always been light and small it's the main

reason im so stubborn,"my height is 5'3 and because of the

shortage of calories in the apocalpyse I think im about 90 pounds

going down my ribs were starting to show.

            "You got that right Merle would have loved ya"Daryl said.

           "Who's Merle?"I asked curiously tilting my head to the side
