The Other Side of Miss Nobody

 Kevin tired his best to find a ring I would like. I know he was trying but I wanted my ring. I didn't want a replacement ring. For two days he been trying to talk me into getting another ring. Finally I just explained to him that I had came attached to my ring. The ring I woke up too when I found out I was  married to him. I know it was kind of self of me but, I wanted my ring back. Kevin said he would try and find another ring like mine.

 I changed my cloths for yet another day of gym. I slipped on my shorts on and my shirt. As I did I noticed that some of the girls in the locker room were looking at me. I didn't pay any attention, I didn't have time for bull shit today. I followed the other girls out side. It was kind cool outside. You could tell winter was upon us. Fog covered the grass. Coach divided us into teams for baseball. I got put on the opposite team from Romona. Baseball was me and Romona's thing. That was how we met, we met at baseball try outs at school. We both  made the team that year, as we got older we just played for fun. Romona had comparative side to her when it come to baseball. So I knew if they had her on there team, my team was going down. The game got started, I was put out of the field on second base. I caught every ball that came my way. It was Amanda's turn at bat. She manged to some how hit a ground ball. She ran to first then second where I was. I wasn't paying much attention to her till something around her neck grabbed my attention. I turned a little.

"Is that....is that my ring?" She had it around her neck on silver chain. She smirked at me. 

"I don't know what your talking about." I dropped my baseball glove.

"Give me back my ring Amanda." I held out my hand. I couldn't believe this bitch took my ring. She turned and looked at me. She pushed me back.

"You don't deserve to wear this. You don't belong with him." She pushed me again. I pushed her back and she slipped me. I turned punched her in face. She tried to pull me by my hair but grabbed my shirt. I kept punching her over and over in the face. Finally she grabbed me by my hair and fell in the wet grass. She punched me in the face one good time. I wasn't giving up, I held her down and got her right in the eye. I hard Amanda  whimper. Some one grabbed me  pulling us apart from each other. I kept trying to break free but I taken up to the office.

 I sat up on the office for ten minutes till the principal office. He looked at the both of us.

"I've never seen you on my office before." He was looking at my records. I've never been to the office before. "Why were you too fighting?" He asked us.

"She stole my ring. And I want it back." I said to him.

"I don't have anything of her's this isn't her ring." I rolled my eyes. I looked at her as she held the ice on her eye.

"That's my ring, Kevin got that for me our wedding day. She stole it from our heart?" The Principal looked as us.  I couldn't believe he was listening to Amanda's lies. He pressed a button on his microphone. "Kevin Clines please report to the front off. Kevin Cline, please report the front off."  He sat on the office not talking. Kevin came in. He didn't look happy at all. He was pissed off. The word have gotten around school about the fight. Kevin took a sit next to me. He didn't bother to look at me.

"Sir, you wanted to see me?" Kevin asked.

"Yes, your Ms. Strup and Mrs. Clines have gotten into a disagreement over this ring." He showed him the ring his hand. My ring that belonged to me.

"Sir that is Hailley's ring. We had party at our home a few nights ago and it went missing. We have been looking for, for a while now." Kevin said to him.

"No, that's my ring." Amanda said to Kevin. This was bunch of shit. How did he think Amanda would get an ring like that.

"Do any of you have prof that this ring belongs to you?" I didn't, but neither did Amanda.

"I do." Kevin pulled out his wallet and unfolded a pink paper. "See this is that date I bought the ring and the description of the ring." He showed him the papers. Amanda was fucked now.

"Now that settled, I going to have to suspend her for 3 days." What the.....she stole my ring and pushed me first. Why was I getting suspended for? "Was involved in a fight and we don't stand for fighting here." The Principal gave me my suspension papers and my ring.

"As for you Ms. Strup...." He looked at Amanda. "Your suspended for seven days. We don't steal from our class mate and we don't fight. I added an extra day for lying." He handed her, her papers. He looked at us.

" I don't want to see you two back in my office again. Am I understood." We both said yes sir. The principal told us we both need to call and get a ride home. Kevin was excused form the rest of fourth hour to take me home. I went and got my things and left the school. Kevin drove fast. He didn't say anything to me. It felt like my first day with him all over again.

"Can't you at least talk to me?" I asked him.

"I didn't think you were like that Hailley. That willing to rip Amanda's head off for a damn ring. Something as stupid as damn ring." He was starting to yell.

"It's not a stupid ring, this ring symbolizes our marriage and she stole it. I was defending myself. I am sick of being her damn punching bag. I was standing up for my self." I argued back. Why was he so mad at me? The one time I defend myself I get hell for doing it.

"By beating the hell out her? Did you even look at face? You beat up over something that could be replaced Hailley. I told you that I would replace it. Why didn't you just let it go?"

"It's hard to let it go when you care about something. This ring is mine. It's hard to let things go when your husband's ex is always bothering you, bullying you all the time. It's hard when you have the reminder of your husband past always bring it up and pointing things out." Kevin pulled off when the light turned green.

"You went so low as to stoop to her level. Your just as stupid as she is." I didn't say thing back. Kevin called me stupid. Kevin didn't say anything back and I didn't say anything back. Since I've been with him I've been trying to show him I wasn't like her. I was trying to out do her and be the girl friend/ wife she wasn't too him. Now it was true to him. I was like Amanda, stupid like Amanda. When the car reached the apartment I got out and went up on my own. I came in the apartment and set the ring in the key bowl. I no longer felt like I should be wearing that ring. I went to my room and shut the door.
