Two weeks later.
"Guys, seriously, just be honest. Is it noticeable?" I ask standing in the mirror, moving from side to side to get a better look.
When nobody responds I turn around and cross my arms, waiting for an answer.
"There's the mood swings I guess." Beth chuckles.
Glenn hits her lightly. "Shut up, she'll kill us." He teases.
"I'm not moody, I'm waiting for an answer." I snap.
Maggie, Beth and Glenn look at each other and laugh.
"Ughhh, you guys are impossible. " I groan.I look back into their mirror again, which Glenn carried from their bathroom into their sitting room for me.
"Come on guys, help a girl out. Is the bump noticeable?" I ask rolling up my top for the third time to inspect my stomach.
"Yes, you're definitely showing but if you wear a jumper nobody will notice." Maggie amends.
"Thank you, that's all I asked." I smile pleased with the answer."Your turn." I clap my hands excitedly and pull Maggie up from the couch.
"Madison, I'm barely even a month." She laughs and Glenn smiles with her.
"I know, but still.... it's so much more exciting for you guys."
"Why." Glenn asks.
"Well, for starters you guys planned this. You're married and I can tell how badly you guys want to be parents." I say.
"And you don't?" Beth interjects.
I sigh "I didn't mean it like that."
"Your not denying it." She pushes.
I glare at Beth so she'll stop interrogating me.
"Sorry, but I mean, someday you're gonna have to answer our questions." She shrugs.
"Maybe, but that day isn't today..... I'm gonna go home. I have to remind Carl to change his bandage again.I stand up and grab my bow which I left in the umbrella stand, by the door.
I zip up the big jumper Maggie advised me to wear. I can still hear the questions that they've battered into my brain in the past two weeks and honestly I don't want to think about them or know the answers to them."So who's your team, to help you give birth and get through labour."
"Do you want to deliver in your room or the infirmary?"
"Do you think the baby will look like you or Carl?"
"Why don't you just tell everyone? That way you don't have to hide anything."I roll my eyes and shake my head as if to get rid of the questions
"Someday you're gonna have to answer our questions ."I open the door and call over my shoulder.
"Bye guys, see you later."
A few mumbled byes are heard and I take that as my queue to walk home, which is only about 15 steps to the right.I meet Carl on the porch, where he sits on the swing with Judith in his lap. A large white bandage covering the left side of his face, but his hat covers the bandage covering the top of his head.
"Time to change the bandage." I tell him.
He sighs but gives a small smile,
"Kay."I open the door to find Rick getting ready for the big 'supply run' that him and Daryl are going on. They're trying to restock the pantry with food or whatever they can find.
Michonne walks in holding Rick's gun.
"Nearly forgot this." She chuckles.
Rick smiles "Wouldn't have gotten very far without it."
Jenna sits silently on the couch, flicking through a magazine. Carl hands Judith over to her and she puts Judith in her lap and continues to turn the pages.Carl and I then make our way to the kitchen.
Michonne calls out "Carl, you gotta change your b-"
"Yeah, yeah I know. Gotta change my bandage, I get it ... jeez." He huffs.
"Two moody teenagers." Rick agrees with Michonne.
