Sadie's POV.
I pace around the cave, gripping onto the brown cloak. I don't know what to do in this cave. Jackson didn't tell me anything useful. He just left me with more questions.
I wonder what my mom is doing..
No! Stop it, Sadie! You can't think about mom if it's gonna make you cry! Get it together! Jackson sent you here for a reason. You just need to find out why.
I walked around the cave. Water was dripping from the ceiling of the cave and dripping onto the floor. I hadn't noticed the sent of mold until now. I had to find a way out. I could die from the mold.
But panicking wouldn't do any good. I calmly walked around, puddles of water splashing as my feet touched the ground.
It seemed like hours I had been walking around the small cave before I finally begin to give up
I sit down by a pile of medium sized rocks. They were all coincidentally smooth. I moved a rock around in my fingers, feeling the soft substance.
I threw it at what I thought was a wall. But the vines were covering a opening exit, but were pushed away from the weight of the rock.
Mom always said I was terrible at finding things... I grinned.
I walk through the vines, and the view is fantastic.
A long path leads up hills, mountains, and a long river. Along the path are small villages, made of wood. And at end of the path is a large palace, white, gold and royal blue.
The castle is too far for me to see from every detail, but from kilometers away, I could still see the beauty of it. Trees surrounded the villages and the palace.
All I can think about at this moment is one, the beauty of it all, and two, I am super thirsty.
I run down a mountain, to the river. I bend down on my knees and splash the water in my face. I cup the water in my hands and drink. Again, I taste the best water ever. Cold and crisp. This time, nothing was holding me back. I don't care if I get sick. I drink and drink until I quench my thirst.
I run my fingers through my brown hair, and quickly pull my hand down.
Woah! How come I forgot about hygiene?!
I've been here for who knows how long, and I haven't cleaned myself at all.
Not since the day I left home.
I slip out of my clothes, and clean my body as well as I can without soap. Rinsing myself with water is better than nothing.
When I'm done, I dry myself with the cloak and get dressed. I was upset that I was wearing the same clothes again, but I couldn't walk around naked.
Heh! No way!
I bend down to pick up the cloak, and as I do, a leather pouch slips out of what I'm guessing is a pocket.
I put on the cloak and pick up the pouch. Inside there's a little leather baggie of gold, new clothes, tons of food, and another letter.
Yes!
I put the pouch back in the cloak, and sit down infront of a tree to read the letter.
Sadie Martin,
I don't know how long it took for you to find this, but hopefully you found out while you were still in the cave.
I knew you would find your way out, so I made sure you were near the biggest village of all, Phoenix Drop. The gold in the pouch is for you so you can get by. You're old enough for a job in this world, so you'll be able to get more money.
Go into Pheonix Drop and find the blacksmith. Tell him I sent you and he'll give you a place to stay.
I know you are dealing with tough times right now, but I need you to fulfill your purpose. Our world needs you and you need us.
Please... Take care of yourself.
Sincerely,
Jackson
I fold the letter up and put it in the cloak. I change into the new clothes from the bag and eat some of the bread Jackson put in there.
I start to walk along the path, and I find a sign and an entrance to Pheonix Drop.
Writer's note: thanks for taking a chance and reading this book. I really appreciate it. I never thought I was a good writer until now. Yes, the name of the village has been inspired by Aphmau... Who is a youtuber. Haha... Don't judge me. My friend Liz is writing a story too, it's call "Memory of You". Check it out and you won't regret it! She's also gonna make a new cover for my book hopefully, so that's exciting!
Also, the title of this book will most likely change. I knew I needed a title for this book, but I didn't want it to be official since I started this book not even knowing how it was going to end. So yeah. I know the title is cringy, but it will change! Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoy!

Fantasy"This book turned up in the front of our door." Mom said. "You better not have spent any money without asking." "I didn't, mom, I promise." I said, opening the book. I had tried getting rid of this stupid book so many times and it just keeps coming...
