Phillip's POV.

Jackson and I waited for what seemed like an hour until I decided to break the silence.

"Do you really think she's going to do it?" I asked.

Jackson smirked at me, sending chills down my spine.

"You better hope she does, or you'll never see your family again."

Suddenly, a crowd of villagers walked out the castle, with confused looks on their dirty faces.

Jackson pulled a little girl by the arm as she walked by. Her eyes widened and she started to pull away, but Jackson was too strong.

"Jackson, let her go-"

"QUIET!" He barked. I shut up.

The little girls parents tried to pull their daughter away from Jackson but he pulled her arm away to hard, I thought her little arm would break off.

Jackson pulled out a knife and put it to the girls neck.

"Tell me what I need to know and she won't get hurt." Jackson put the knife deeper into the child's skin, but didn't cut. The girl cried hysterically, and her parents stared helplessly.

"What happened in that castle?" He asked.

The father of the girl looked puzzled, scared and angry. "Why would you need to know-"

The little family screamed as Jackson lightly cut the child's neck, but not deep enough for her to die.

The mother started crying, but through her sobs, she said, "a young girl got caught hiding, a knight claimed she was trying to kill the queen. The queen made everyone leave court, we don't know whats happening for sure, but we think the queen is trying to find out why the girl was trying to kill her."

Jackson angrily let go of the girl, and the family ran away from us. The mother looked at me with disgust, and I just wished she knew why I didn't try to help.

This cruel man has my family, who knows what he's done to them, knowing he'd kill a toddler!

"Damn it!" Jackson growled, throwing the knife on the wooden platform we were standing on. The knife dove right into the wood, like an arrow zooming into a target.

"Come on. We need to go." Jackson mumbled, violently kicking his horse to start moving.

"Where are we going?" I asked, riding my horse to try and catch up to him.

"We're going to pay a little visit to your family."

Shivers shot through all my body.

Sadie Martin's POV.

We sat there hugging for the longest time until she let go.

"I need to plan for this meeting with Jackson." She said, her voice soft and sweet.

How could Jackson want her off the thrown?

"Thank you for your help, your majesty." I said, getting up to stand before her, giving her the most ellagant bow I could give.

She pulled my arms up, and I looked at her in confusion. "My dear Sadie," she giggles, much like my mom does. "Call me Sophie. You need your rest, dear. Come, I'll show you to your Chambers."

"But..." I hesitated, pulling my arm out of hers. She stopped walking, waiting for me to finish my sentence. "I don't deserve to sleep in your castle, your maje- Sophie. Why are you being so kind to me after I came here to kill you?"

"Because, I see good in your heart." She walked back to me, and squeezed my hands comforting. "You were in a tough situation. I've been there. I want to help you, like no one helped me."

What... Is she talking about?

"Thank you." I smiled. She smiled back and walked me down a hall, full of pictures of people, probably her family. She stopped at a red velvet door.

"This is where you will sleep." She sighed, tracing the gold lines on the door. "This... Used to be my daughter's room. Before she died."

"I'm sorry..." I said, breathless.

First, I try to kill her. Then she hugs me and saves me from death, and now she's letting me sleep in the bed of her dead daughter? I don't deserve this...

"It's fine." She smiles, tears rising. "I see her in you."

Oh crap. Now I feel special. Oh the feels!!

I stand before her, not knowing what to say. A long awkward silence fell between us until she sighed and hugged me.

"Goodnight, Sadie." She smiled. "Tomorrow we will find Jackson and Phillips family. Sleep tight while I think of what to do." And she walked off.

Queen Sophie's POV.

"What are we going to do, my queen?" Captain Jimmy Jr asked, his voice stern and professional.

"Send your best men to follow Jackson." I ordered. "I'm not letting this foul roam in this land."

Writers note: OOOOHHHH I hope I left you wondering what would happen next... If I didn't... I am ashamed. Haha!

So, a little spoiler; Phillip doesn't get his family back. I was hoping it would be obvious since, obviously, Jackson is quite ruthless, but it's ok.
