Phillip's POV.

I woke up in the middle of the night, I heard screaming and yelling. I figured it was Jackson, and went back to bed.

But in the morning, I saw Sadie with her wrist twisted in a complete different direction. It scared me how weird it looked, but I bandaged it up for her so she would hopefully heal over time.

I had insisted she ride with me on my horse, because of her wrist, but she wouldnt part with Lilly.

We were riding on horseback, Jackson some ways in front of us. I waited till I was sure he wasn't able to hear anything, and I faced Sadie.

"What happened last night?" I asked. I knew I heard screaming, and with Sadie's wrist like that, something must have happened.

"Phillip we need to leave Jackson!" Sadie begged, worry in her eyes. Lilly even looked worried, angry even.

"We can't. We have to stay with him, or-"

"Please, Phillip! He's bad news! He made me watch him whip his horse, probably broke my wrist, and..." She fell silent.

"I'm sorry, Sadie." I sighed. I couldn't leave my family. I needed Sadie to stay with Jackson, even if she gets hurt.

"How could you just let him hurt his horse!" She glared at me. "You should be ashamed! I bet you abuse your horse too!"

"He has my family." I said quickly.

She stared at me, shocked.

"What do you mean?" She asked. But I could tell from the look in her eyes she knew what I meant.

I sighed. "Jackson has my family. He has my wife and my little girl. He said he would give them back to me if you killed the queen. It's a win win for both of us. We both get our families back, all we ever wanted, just... Please, stay?" I begged.

"Fine." She sighed. "I'm sorry, Phillip, I shouldn't have come to conclusions."

We continued to ride our horses throughout the day, until after months of traveling, we got there.

Sadie Martin's POV.

The castle looks amazing. It's white, with blue and purple flags and accents.

The main tower was so big, it went all the way up to the clouds. There were gardens, statues, and fountains, it was a sight anyone would dream to see.

This doesn't look evil at all...

"About time we got here." Jackson grumbled. I rolled my eyes, but he glared at me, sending shivers down my spine.

"Sadie, are you ready to fight the queen?" Phillip asked, his voice shaking nervously.

I hadn't thought of the question...

I never intended to kill anyone in my life. Part of me wasn't even sure if Mom would be happy to see me, even if she knew I killed someone to get there.

I sighed, realizing I have no choice. It's not only me I need to think about, it's Phillip's family too.

"I'm ready." I said convincingly. Phillip sighed in relief and hugged me, but I couldn't help but notice Jackson smirking.

Whats that face for?

We camped out for the night, and I couldn't sleep, due to a huge weight on my shoulders.

Writers note: So, this chapter is definitely not as horrifying as the last one, and I'm sorry about chapter 24, again. I felt it was necessary for the book, and I'm so excited to know what you all think of the queen in the next chapter!

Yeah, this was a short chapter, but I didn't really wanna go into the queen battle thingy in one chapter, along with Phillip admitting the real reason why he brought Sadie on this mission.

So yeah, I'm guessing it's kinda confusing as to why Sadie has to be the one to kill the queen, but just wait, all will make sense in the next chapter.

Please check out EwwLizzie's book, Memory of You. It's a great book, and I could say it over and over but it still won't be enough justice for the book.
