FunFact: I split an apple with my hands today. It only took me about 15 Minutes.

Nerviously Taylor entered the room Cara had let her to, promising she would pick her up again to spend lunch with her as soon as the lesson was over. But right now the new girl was on her own, something that made her everything but comfortable, because it meant what she feared so much. Being surrounded by strangers.
Almost even worse than that, was the subject itself. Science wasn't exactly Taylors strength. You could say she pretty much sucked at it. The only way to not fail for her was to get help by someone else that was able to recap the lessons for her and to explain what she hadn't understood. The problem about that was, that she needed to know someone who could explain her all that; she needed friends. And this led back to issue number one. Her lack of social skills.
Quietly Taylor stepped over the threshold, her arms tightly gripping the books, careful not to drop them, to stumble or to do something else embarrassing. Luckily she managed to successfully win this challenge and walk into the room without being further noticed, but challenge two was already waiting for her. Finding a place to sit.
The girls ocean-coloured eyes started skimming the room for a place at which she would be able to sit for this lesson. Actually the chances were high that this was indeed not for this lesson, but for the rest of this school year. Therefore it was a best to choose wisely.
And it seemed like the luck was just on her side, when she spotted an empty spot at the left side of no one else than Karlie Kloss.
It was the place right next to the window, the end of one of those four person lab tables with a sink in the middle. On the inner side of the table, right from the sink were two guys sitting both with dark hair. The one directly next to Karlie Kloss had curls, while the one further away had straight hair or at least made it look like it.
"Can I sit here?", Taylor asked, trying not to blush. The second oldest of the Kloss-Sisters looked up and smiled at her opposite. "Sure. Are you the new girl?"
"Yeah. I'm Taylor."
"Karlie."
"I'm Derek.", the guy with curls had leaned forward to be able to look at Taylor. He as well gave her a happy grin.
"Josh.", the other one leaned forward even further than Derek, so that he wasn't hidden behind him or Karlie.
Taylor repeated saying her name again as an introduction and gave both of them a polite smile, secretly hoping that at least one of them, or maybe even all three, was good in chemistry, because she could use any help that she could get.
Shortly after that their teacher entered. He was a man with grey hair and glasses, that he held in his hands more than he actually wore it. Whenever he was thinking he would put the end in his mouth and cross his arms. Actually it almost seemed like he didn't need the glasses, but to look smart and chew on them. And to be honest to Taylor he seemed like a really competent teacher, even if he didn't have glasses, with just one flaw. He was unusually fast and she had a hard time keeping up, with anything he said. She still did her best to take notes, but the more the lesson went on, the more she slowly noticed that she was kind of having a problem understanding even the things that seemed basic for the others.
While for Taylor the lines on the chalkboard were nothing more than a confusing criss cross, the others were well able to identify it as a molecule. It didn't take longer than a split second until half the class arms were raised, ready to name this molecule, and even those who didn't raise their arms had a knowing look on their faces. Everyone seemed to know the answer. Well everyone but Taylor.
