Happy New Year my friends!
-----------------------------------------------
It was Ed, who called Taylor later that evening. "We got them!", he yelled instead of a greeting, totally catching the girl on the other line off guard. What the hell was he talking about?
The blonde was currently sitting at her piano again, working on her newest song, now that she had finished the refrain, she had went over to trying to finish the verses. Both melody and lyric wise. And so far it had been pretty successful.
"What?", she asked being more than just a little confused now. She rubbed over her face with her hands, the whole songwriting thing was exhausting sometimes.
"The tickets! We just bought some of the very last tickets!", now another voice was talking, a girl. It sounded a little like Selena. Wait, it probably was Selena. Why had they met up? Why without Taylor? And again, what were they even talking about.
Their schools newest student closed the lid of the paino as quietly as possible (which was still not that quiet) and then got up, walking around in her room, while her phone was pressed to her ear. "Guys what are you talking about?"
"Birdy? The concert?", that was Ed again.
"Oh!", suddenly a tiny switch inside Taylor's head got flipped, now it all made sense. They just had bought their tickets to Birdys concert! "That's great!", she said excitedly and could hear Selena cheer in the background. "So we will be going together?"
"Yep.", Ed confirmed. "This is going to be so much fun, I'm so hyped!"
"Me too!", Taylor said, now all the tiredness from earlier was gone. She was in a great mood again, pacing back and forth in her room. She wasn't one of those people that could just stand still whenever they got a call.
The ginger sounded just as excited as his friends. "Me three!" Once again they broke into a fit of cheers. This had turned out a lot better than Taylor had imagined back when she had bought the tickets for just herself and her brother (who she already had to beg to come along, because her parents didn't allow her to go on her own. Unlike her he wasn't a big fan of Birdy).
Of course, going to a concert was already pretty awesome, but it wouldn't never even get close to the feeling of going with your friends. This would be so awesome.

A few days later, Taylor was sitting at her lunch table, trying too eat her salad as gracefully as possible. But her fork wasn't really the best one out there and the salad just kept falling down again. It was quite a challenge to be honest. She had already managed to let a leaf fall onto her black skinny jeans, which obviously had left a stain of salad sauce onto them. It wasn't really visible, thanks to the convinient colour, but it still annoyed her.
Maybe she should have settled for something more simple like Caras burger or Lilys sandwich. Even Jordan's mashed potatoes would have been a better idea. But no, she had to bring along this damn salad, that just wouldn't stick to her damn fork.
"Come on!", Taylor whispered, while angrily stabbing onto the last few pieces of lettuce left. What had she done to the salad to deserve this?
The others commented that with a simple raise of their eyebrows or with a small smile out of confusion, but nobody bothered saying anything.
"I hate salad!", Taylor finally gave up after a few seconds and threw her fork onto the table, crossing her arms in front of her chest. I deserve better than this, she concluded while leaning back in her chair, letting her eyes fly over the cafeteria.
