Taylor's didn't really feel any of the alcohol, while she was dancing around with Karlie, her sisters, Cara and Jourdan. She tried not to get uncomfortable, her dancing wasn't exactly known for being graceful. She was wondering if the others stared at her. Back in her old school the cool kids had sometimes made fun of her for that. But now you are with the cool kids, Taylor reminded herself. It was really an interesting turn of events. Karlie had opened her a door, Taylor never believed she would step through.
But that wasn't why she liked the model so much. Taylor would have adored Karlie equally, even if she were the most hated person in the whole school. Because how couldn't she fall for those long, graceful legs, that bright sunshiny grin, those fascinating green eyes and those soft curls? She begun to fall for every aspect of Karlie, and the more time she spend with the other girl, the worse it seemed to get. It was like a spiral, that was tightening until infinity.
Karlie had once mentioned, that she used to do ballett. She had loved it with all her heart and had gained a lot of confidence through it, yet at the end she had to give it up in order to do her modeling. She didn't have enough time for both and also volleyball. Though it was still visible in the way she danced. You could see in her movement that she had an insane control over her body. Every little muscle was in perfect sync and were all cooperating with each other.
Taylor's muscles on the other hand all seemed to have a mind on their own. The fact that she was a little nervous didn't help, she began second guessing taking the shot. Of course she didn't notice anything, but maybe it would still come? Her palms were a little sweaty.
Suddenly Harry Styles came towards her, weirdly bouncing up and down to the music while walking. It made him look quite goofy, almost a little like Cara. He was holding two more of the well known little plastic cups and was smiling brightly.
"So, I have this tradition.", he yelled over the music to Taylor. "Before someone can truly be my friend, they first need to take a shot with me."
He handed one of the little cups to Taylor, the other one he kept in his hand. "To some great times!", he proclaimed and hit his cup carefully against Taylor's before downing it. Taylor didn't even have the time to think much about her choice and downed her cup as well. It would be weird not to drink it, she was too awkward to say no, really.
"YESSS", Harry cheered and then threw an arm around Taylor while dancing around with her happily. "I'M FRIENDS WITH THE NEW GIRL!", he cheered. Some people in the background yelled something back, causing Harry to walk over to them and started dancing with others.
That was probably the easiest friend Taylor ever made. Well apart from, Cara maybe. The Brit hadn't even given her a choice.
"He seems nice.", Taylor finally commented and turned back to Karlie.
"Harry? He is amazing.", Karlie ensured the singer and then softly intertwined their fingers again.
And just like that they started dancing again, swaying heir hips, twirling their arms, moving their feet. Over time Taylor got warmer and warmer and started sweating, while her mood also simultaneously increased. But she still was perfectly able to walk in a straight line and the room wasn't spinning, neither was she sick. And Karlie seemed to understand her as good as always. So if anything she was tipsy. Which was a nice feeling, shots maybe weren't too bad after all.
About half an hour later, their dancing around got interrupted again, by the other three Kloss sisters. They were each holding a cup on their own and Kimby was also carrying two extra ones. "This one is to being sisters!", Kimby announced while handing Karlie a cup. And even one to Taylor. As she saw the new girls confused expression she rolled her eyes as if Taylor was missing the most obvious thing.
