SO I WAS SEARCHING THE LONGEST COMMENT CHAIN ON WATTPAD AND THERE WASNT ANYTHING WATTPAD RELATED THAT CAME UP BUT THERE WAS "THE LONGEST COMMENT CHAIN ON REDDIT"

IF I HAD A REDDIT ACCOUNT I WOULDVE FOUGHT THESE PEOPLE

(The first person was saying that her name wasn't "Caitlyn", as someone before them had said, it was Caitlyn. She is Caitlyn, not her birth name, because she is a woman and Caitlyn fits her better.)

Warning: during this rant I sometimes use "you" and sometimes use "they." I am referring to the transphobic people in the pictures above, I'm not trying to be mean to anyone reading this unless for some reason they were the people being transphobic. In that case, read my rant and take as much offense to it as you want. I honestly don't care. I'm too angry to care about that right now.

First, I think these people need to realize that gender is different than sex. I'm going to try to explain this as best I can: Sex is biological, gender is not. If you feel more feminine, yes, you can be a female. If you feel more masculine, you can be a male. If you feel neither, you can be nonbinary. If you feel both, you can be bigender. There's lots of different genders, not just the ones I mentioned, please don't yell at me for only putting four, but only two sexes. Gender is a spectrum, as I understand it, and someone can change their gender depending on where they are on that spectrum. This means that you can be trans, and you can be a different gender than what you started physically with at the start of your life. You don't chose to be transgender, it's simply who you are. This means that if I am mentally female, I'm not going to change my gender just like no one would be a unicorn (I'm referring to that last screenshot I took). And to pass laws against it? Really? If we make laws that keep people from being trans, do you realize how many more people would hate their bodies for all of their life? Do you realize how many more people might think about committing or commit suicide because they realize their sex doesn't match up with their mental gender but there was nothing they could do about it? Do you realize this? If you genuinely and truly think that it is worse to be living and trans than dead and the gender you assign them to, then I don't think I'd be able to convince you of anything by any of this writing. I might as well quit, but I honestly don't want to. You got your full opinion out onto the Internet for me to find, and I want to argue it. But because now that I've literally written 500 words on it, and since I know one of you at least probably am sick of me putting out my opinion, I'll stop now. I'm sorry if you are sick of me ranting (though the title has the word rant in it, you should really expect it) and hopefully I won't have a reason to rant anymore.
