Seriously.
(The spacing on this was weird so good luck.)
"This is just what comes with freedom!"
"I'm sure you'd support having guns even if you were a family member!""Democrats think all guns should be completely banned, but then how would we hunt?"
"You should be focusing on the mental illness, not the gun!"
Okay well guess what?
First, you need to do research before saying anything. If you did, you'd see that, yeah, there's a few of us [democrats] that would ban guns completely, but the majority just want to make sure not as many people can have guns. Because right now, with all the shootings going on, we obviously have made it too easy for someone that wants to hurt someone else to get a gun.
Now, in the most recent shooting, the man had forty guns. Please explain to me why someone would need that many unless they were planning on doing damage. I was arguing with my dad earlier about this and he brought up collectors. But I don't know about you, but isn't a person's life more important than a collection of items that some would use for harm? I'm sure there'd be people that would be upset, but if a child is upset that you took a match from them, would you give it back? No, unless you're a terrible parent? If you take away a gun from a person who might hurt someone and they get mad and want it back, would you give it back? No, unless you're a bad government.
It looks like we have a bad government.
Another thing, the man who just did this had a father that was in the FBI's top ten most wanted criminals for years. I'm not saying everyone is like their parents, but did they even look at that? Did they even look at the fact that this man had a history of mental illnesses?
Another thing I want to say, not all people with mental illnesses are bad. Most people with mental illnesses would be just fine and never even think of hurting or killing someone. But, if you see something about a man wanting to hurt others in younger ages, shouldn't you at least hesitate with giving him a weapon?
Apparently not. Because we suck.
Having said all this, just try to be safe, okay? It seems like everywhere you go has a chance of being the next shooting people hear about on TV. So stay safe, be strong, and make smart decisions. See you later!
P.S. Y'all should go read @Cat217ab's story "Angels And Canoes", it's really really good and she's finished it by now so you don't have to worry about updates. Plus there might be a sequel???
