Guys. I'm done.
First the Percy Jackson movies and now The Never Ending Story?!
Okay so I've got to rant a bit here....
🚨 SPOILER ALERT 🚨
Okay so first there were the messengers at the beginning.
1.) Did the director somehow forgot the will-oh-the-wisp? What happened to it?
2.) They split up! They didn't want to have to wait on the snail so they split up!
3.) These messengers were not mentioned again in the books, but in the movie they played a important role or at least the Rockchewer did!
Then, the meeting.1.) The doctor. He was a centaur not some guy with a beard!
2.) The doctor cam out wearing the AUREN (or however you spell it) and then went on a quest to go find Atreyu. Right? Apparently that's not what the director read! Apparently (In the movie) the Childlike Empress already knew that Atreyu was coming because she sent for him to come days before! But then what was the point of the doctor checking on her?
3.) Atreyu had green skin.Morla The Aged One
1.) It didn't include how he found out about Morla.
2.) It didn't include enough slyness on Atreyu's part.
3.) Since when was she sneezing?
4.) That wasn't when Bastian screamed. The Swamps of Sadness
1.) It didn't really clear up that the swamp was making the horse want to die.
2.) The horse was supposed to be able to talk to Atreyu right then.
3.) Falkor didn't just appear out of the clouds I mean come on! Did the director even read the book?!How Atreyu Met Falkor
1.) Atreyu was being chased by a wolf on the way there, this is important for later.
2.) It was in like a cave or something and then he walked into a room where Falkor was dying and the spider monster guy was killing him.
3.) The spider told Atreyu his venom could take him wherever he wanted, but it would kill him.
4.) Atreyu let the spider bite him.
5.) Falkor overheard number 3 and wished to go wherever Atreyu went.
6.) When they woke up, that's how they met the little gnome people (whatever they're called) because the woman healed him. Falkor didn't fly them there, he was still unconscious. The gates
Oh gods don't get me started on the gates... I'll shorten this for you.
1.) The gnome wanted him to go so he would get his scientific information.
2.) The gnome didn't know why the first gate let random people in.
3.) The first gate didn't go by whether you were scared or not, it went by whether you have good intentions and a good soul or not.
4.) The statues didn't zap him! I'm seriously doubting the director.
5.) The second gate opened, he didn't walk through it.
6.) THERE WAS A THIRD GATE LIKE SERIOUSLY WHAT HAPPENED TO IT
7.) The third gate was only opened if the person had no intention to go through it. (Well, at least, that's the only way I can explain it.)
8.) The third gate made him lose his memory.
9.) He went through the third gate and was met with a voice. Not a statue, a voice.
10.) The voice could only speak in rhyme.
11.) The voice could only hear in rhyme.SPOILERS OVER
Wait. You know what? This movie was as bad as the PJO movies. Yeah. So, anyway, I'd be going on forever. I'll stop here, about a fourth of the way through.
But I also want to say...
The movie ended when the book would've been about halfway through.
Like, that's a lot of cut out scenes!
Okay. I'll stop. Bye guys.
