*Kris' POV*
There was a long awkward silence. I shook my head, and told the guy my actual name. I don't know why everyone kept bringing Ryeowook up, it was an awkward subject- and I always got upset when hearing his name. I was almost as tall as Jungkook, and he turned around. "It's ok, you don't have to be afraid. We aren't going to hurt you." He said, looking at Siha. The other man shook his head. "Dude, these kids, are they yours?" He asked, looking at me and my brother. We both looked to Jungkook waiting for an answer. This guy can't be our father. "Yes, if they are Lee Mina's children then they must be mine too." Jungkook replied, then sighed. I hated this. I never wanted our father to be here. He'll take over my rebellion. He'll take over looking after Hansol. "The only one I knew about was Ryeowook." He said, looking at us again. Great. Just what I needed, a father who didn't even know I existed till now. Hansol stood up and looked at me. I'm guessing he wanted me to say something, but I was lost for words. I didn't really have anything to say at all. Anyway, that wasn't the problem- how in the world did our father only know about Ryeowook; if he didn't know about me then how did Hansol exist? Ma must've kept me a secret from him. Hansol suddenly walked past myself, and toward Siha. "Hey, Siha, we should go see if we can find more crumpets." He said, smiling slightly. Siha had nodded, and they both headed for the refrigerator. It was awkward now. Hansol just left me with Jungkook, and some other guy. The others in our group went back to the other room. They must be relieved that we weren't just attacked.
I walked out the kitchen, and sat on a large red stool. I sighed loudly, and put my elbows on the table in front of me. Jungkook and the other guy walked toward me, and stood in front of the table. Jungkook pulled out another stool and sat across from me. "So, you're Kris, eh?" The other guy said, sitting next to Jungkook. I nodded slightly, putting my head in my hands. I didn't need these guys. How did we even know that he was Hansol and my father? He only knew Ryeowook. I never knew him. All I knew was that he left after Ma got pregnant with Hansol. That's it. That's all I knew of my father. It didn't make sense. Was Ryeowook only our half-brother? Jungkook looked to the other guy. "This is my brother, Taeil." He said, introducing him. Taeil smiled, putting out his hand. I refused it. He shrugged and looked to Jungkook. "I'm sorry, Kris, I knew you and your brother, Hansol were going to exist, it's just..." He trailed off. I looked back up at Jungkook. He wasn't lying, and I could tell when someone was lying. He smiled slightly. "And you are both so grown up, I can't help but imagine what Ryeowook must look like. May I ask, where is Ryeowook?" He asked, looking at me. This was it. I had to tell him what the enemy had done to my brother- his son. "T-The enemy, uh, they... took him." Was all I could reply with, I couldn't tell him the full story, why? I would get upset again like I did when I told Hansol. He looked to me with a stern look on his face. He didn't believe me, did he? I fell silent. Taeil –My 'Uncle'- looked very uncomfortable. "Really? You seemed hesitant." He said. I looked over to Taeil. He was smiling slightly. "Dude, you can tell him- he's your Dad." Taeil exclaimed, walking off. I figured he didn't want to be part of this. "Now I'm going to see if those kids found some more crumpets- I'm starving!" He went back to the kitchen. I was all alone with Jungkook- I mean my father. "I'm sorry." I apologised. He seemed to become more sympathetic looking now. Was it because I was now crying like a baby? Or that I just lied to him, and then started crying? He looked at me. His eyes were so calm, and kind. He obviously didn't mean harm. "Look, it is okay, Kris. You don't have to be sorry." He replied, putting his hand on my shoulder. "No. You don't understand." I cried, pushing his hand away. "The enemy took him. I get that, but you can't apologise for something that the enemy did. Besides, Ryeowook is a strong boy. He should be." He said, smiling. He didn't understand. "No!! The enemy didn't just take him! They took my mother as well!! I didn't even do anything to stop them! I just quivered in a corner, in a cupboard." I cried loudly. My father moved over from his stool to sit in the one beside me. I'm not even sure he still understood. But maybe it was because I wasn't clear when I told him. "It is okay, Kris. You were probably protecting your little brother. We'll see them again, don't you worry." He said. I have had enough of this guy. I became frustrated. "Don't you get it?!" I yelled, standing up. He was shocked. "Ma and Ryeowook are DEAD!!" I screamed, running off back into the kitchen.
