Chapter 22 (Corbyn)

Kyra just told me the news. She's having twins and they're mine! I wonder how long she's keep the secret from Jack. Just as Jack says 'We're just two reckless teens having some fun'. My phone rings.
"Hello?" I answer.
"Hi, Corbyn Besson, correct?" A woman's voice says over the phone.
"This is Jack's mom. You know Kyra Hendricks?" She asks me.
"Yeah, I dated her." I remind her.
"Do you know about her life now?" She asks.
"Yeah, of course." I say.
"Well, she has been rushed to the hospital because I think she is having issues with it. She is young and so is Jack, but I think she needs to see you because she's been saying your name... a lot." She explains.
"Of course, I'll be right over... city hospital, correct?" I check to make sure.
"Yes. Oh! And thank you." She hangs up. I call the rest of the boys because I know Jack is going to be there for sure...even though they're MY kids.
•3 calls later•
I call an Uber to drive me there asap. It's about half an hour away from my house, I'm not as close as Jack is. My phone rings. It's Zach.
"Hey bro." I say.
"Yo, what time we gotta be there?" He asks.
"I've told you a hundred times. If possible in the next half hour?" I tell him. He says 'Ok' and I hang up.
I arrive to the hospital, check in and walk down to Kyra's room. As I approach, I hear Kyra crying about something.
I knock a couple of times.
"Hey Jack. Your mom told me Kyra was in the hospital and I thought I'd stop bye to see how she was." I say.
While Jack was too busy talking to me, I see Kyra blow a kiss to me so Jack wouldn't see.
"Well she's doing fine, right babe? Now, what do you want?" Jack asks me rudely.
"I just wanted to talk to her... alone?" I ask shyly.
"Let me think abou it." Jack says. He finally walks out of the room and tells me that I can talk to her for 10 minutes.
"Hey." I say.
"Hi." She answers back.
"I wish I could kiss you but, you know, not while he's here." I say.
"Corbyn? Did you call Zach or anyone else by chance?" She asks.
"Yeah, I called the rest of the band because it's like you're their little sister. Not mine or Jack's, just Zach's, Daniel's, and Jonah's." I explain.
"When will they be coming?" She asks.
"Soon. Maybe in like 5 minutes." I say. Without thinking, Kyra hugs me out of nowhere and says, "I love you, Corbyn.". Jack startles me with his voice.
"What are you doing?" He asks Kyra.
"Jack! I...uh...was just trying to reach for my blanket and I said 'I love you' because I love my blanket. I said 'Corbyn' after that because I wanted him to give it to me." She says quickly.
"Well you could've just asked." I say.
"OR! You could've called me to keep you warm, you know, since I'm your boyfriend?" He says.
"Are you trying to make me jealous because, it's not working!" I say, thinking about how I know Kyra's cheating on me.
"No, I'm just saying, if you try to do anything to your ex. You DO know that she's going to have my kids." Jack says. I look at Kyra's bulging stomach.
"Yeah, and why would I want to 'try anything' if she already...never mind." I stop there before I go too far.
"Jack, can you get the doctor? I feel nauseous." Kyra says.
"Ok babe." Jack hurriedly rushes out of the room.
"Where did we leave off, babe?" I take her hand.
"I believe here." She leans in for a kiss. Kyra and I kiss until we hear footsteps in a distance. Quickly, she pulls away.
"I feel like I want to throw up but, I can't." She says. I get up and stand next to Jack. The doctor takes her pulse. Jack sits down next to Kyra and tries to keep her company. Jack hangs his head in sadness.
"What did you do?" Jack softly says.
"I didn't do anything!" I argue back.
"Well you obviously did something!" Jack yells. The doctor leaves.
"Fine. I still have feelings for her but, all I did was kiss her." I admit. One of the boys come. It's Daniel.
"Maybe it's like a fairy tale and she will only wake up if her true love kisses her." Daniel gives an idea.
"Ok... I would NEVER let you do this but, Corbyn, you go ahead and kiss her and see if you're her true love." Jack says. I kiss Kyra for a good 2 seconds.
"Let me try again." I beg.
"Ok fine..." Jack agrees. I kiss her once again.
"Sorry! Tough luck, Corbyn." Jack meanly says.
"Ok then, go ahead, Jack." I sarcastically say. Jack holds the kiss for what seemed like FOREVER! Kyra slowly opens her eyes and looks over to Jack.
"Babe?" She barely speaks out.
"Yes?" He says. She wraps her arms around him and hugs him. He hugs her back.
"I love you." She speaks out. She looks at Daniel then at me. She starts crying. Kyra and Jack stop hugging then, he lays beside her.
"When our kids meet their father, they must be really happy to have you as their father." She cheesily says.
"Would now be a good time to tell you that I know what genders they are?" Jack surprises us.
"Please tell me!" She impatiently says. I look at her in shock.
"What? That's great! What do you think you want to name them?" I say.
"Maybe both be a name that could be a girl's name and boy's name." She simply says. Her eyes shoot over to Daniel.
"What are you looking at?" Jack asks and laughs.
"Perfect." She says.
"What? Are you talking to me?" Daniel asks.
"No, I mean I have the names. I won't tell you the names until Jack tells me the genders." She says, peckishly.
"That seems fair." Jack says. I know Kyra knows the genders and she will tell me soon enough.
Soon, Zach and Jonah arrive.
"How is she?" Zach asks.
"She's doing fine." Jack looks over at Zach and says.
"Jack?" Kyra says.
"Yeah?" Jack says.
"I need a hug." She starts to tear up. I swear! She's emotionally depressed and she needs all the comfort she can get.
