Chapter VII
Junashri
I woke up in a canvas tent. My vision was a bit blurry, but it seemed like I was in the infermery. I moved my arm and winced. It was wrapped in a cloth and sling. I looked to my left and saw a boy sitting, or slumped over, sleeping. It startled me a bit. I hadn't noticed that I squealed, and his head shot upward. It was Randy.
"Oh, thank the Gods, your awake." He said. I looked at him with a confused expression. He returned the gesture.
"You honestly don't remember?" I shook my head. He then sarted explaining how we had been attacked by basilisk. He then explained that I got bitten, and he carried me to here. He said he told the nurses that he wouldn't leave until I woke up. Wait, what?
"Thank you, Randy."
"Wait, you're not mad?"
"No, you saved my life. Why would I be?"
"Well, I saved it, but I also jepordized it."
"Well, I didn't die, so it's all good." I said with a smile. He grinned and then a nurse came. When I say nurse, I mean like Apollo cabin kids, since their dad is also the god of medicine.
"Pardon me, Randy, but I'm going to have to ask you to leave so I can check Junashri."
"Oh. Ok. I'll see you around, Junashri. Bye."
"Bye, Randy." And with that he left. The nurse, her name was Gracie, fed me some ambrosia and nectar. After that, I felt alot better. She said that all I had to do was not work my arm out alot, change the bandage every night, and eat at least one ambrosia square a day. Then she released me.
I walked over to the dock. I couldn't swim but I stuck my feet into the water. I began to think about who my parent might be. I thought about how to better prepare myself so that no more accidents occur. My thoughts were interrupted by a loud splash. Something, I mean someone, emerged from the water. When she saw me she screamed and I screamed when she went under. She emerged again and breathed in deeply.
"Hey, you scared me!" She said with a grin.
"I'm sorry. I didn't think others came over here."
"Oh, well, I'm an exception. I love water. It's the one place I can think straight."
"Well, that's already one thing we have in common." We both laughed
That day, I became friends with Annabel. She is a brave, friendly, and talkative in a good way kind of person. We talked on and off about CHB and what a normal life would be like. The sun began to sink as we made our way to the dining pavilion. Suddenly, a question poped in my mind.
"Hey, Annabel, when did you get here?"
"Oh, I got here last night. I think you're the one everyone's talking about. Did you gat bit by a basilisk?" I nodded. She bit her lip.
"Ouch. Sorry."
"You didn't even do anything!"
"Yeah, but still! It's polite." We looked at each other strangely and laughed. Annabel was new, so she was also in the Hermes cabin. I saw Janaysha and she ran over to me, fright plastered on her face.
"Oh, my Gods! What happened? I mean, I know what happened, but are you ok?"
"Yeah, I am now. Thanks to Randy." Ther was a silence, and then Janaysha grinned madly.
"Ohhhh!! Somebody's got a crush!" I blushed.
"N-No I don't!"
"So how come you're blushing?"
I hadn't noticed that. Oh, life's so hard! Annabel nudged me and Jay as we turned our focus to the front. Chiron was up there, and next to him stood two, benevolent looking children.
"Alright everybody. We all know how rare it is to receive children here at camp. We have been given two new demi-gods. The youngest is Dipika? Is that right my dear?" The little girl nodded. "Yes, alright. And the eldest is Geraldo. For now, they will be in the Hermes cabin, until they have been claimed. Very well, you may proceed with dinner."
I felt like I knew this Dipika. Well, she was technically some crazy kind of cousin removed a milion times, so maybe it's just that feeling.
