I was playing with my dog Ollie, when i hear a loud knock. When i open the door i see Thomas and Commander James. Their presence doesn't worry me. The fact that Metias isn't here and the worried look on their faces freak me out. They tell me to sit down. I don't sit and down, but i yell at them to tell me what happened to Metias. Thomas sits down and he pulls me with him. He takes my hand and says,
"I don't know how to tell you this but someone broke into the hospital and wanted some plague cures. Metias tried to stop him. He got a massive head injury from a knife. Right now he's in a coma and their not sure that he will wake up. I'm so sorry." I don't know what to do except yell and cry. Finally commander James says,
"We lost a good soldier today. If you want to see him Thomas can take you there. I will meet you there soon."
"Thank you commander James. Can i ask you i question?" I say trying to hold back tears.
"Sure. What is it?" he says.
"Who was it?' i say. He looks at Thomas then at me.
'We are not sure yet. We think it was Day. No one else has the skill to do that." he says. I think for a moment and then say,
"How do you know it was Day? It could have been the Patriots," i say.
"The Patriots," commander James repeats. The Patriots are a little group of people rebelling against the republic. The military has been trying to catch them but has no luck. Finally Thomas says,
"Can't be the Patriots. It was a one man job. Plus he dropped something." He pulls out a small pendant necklace. He gives it to me and i examine it for a long time. I turn to commander James and ask,
'Can i go to the hospital now?" He gives Thomas a worried look then says,
"Sure, but Thomas is going to stay with you. Can't afford to lose another good soldier." I give him a puzzled look.
"What do you mean?' i ask.
"OH i decided that i'm going to take you out of Drake University and put you on my patrol."
"Really. But i'm still fifteen.' i say.
'That okay. Thomas can train you." Commander James says.
"Alright" i say sighing. With that Thomas and i go to the hospital.
