Written by Heidi :)) I don't even know what this is :/ xx

There were some people out there that liked to make Jughead's school days a living hell. They would get their kicks from shoving him into a locker or tripping him up in the hallways. It was endless and everyday he seemed to discover a new insult. School for Jughead was like being being thrown into a zoo and he was just a slab of meat, torn to shreds by their harsh words. He hated the place, he longed never to go back but each and every morning school would creep up on him and he'd be forced to go, he'd used the 'I'm feeling sick' card too much for it to have any effect anymore.
Jughead couldn't see a way out of it, he thought that all the years of high school would be the same; wake up, go to school and get bullied. But then one day it all changed, he'd walked into the school environment thinking it would be the same as it always was, except it wasn't, because for once someone actually noticed those boys bothering Jughead in the hallways. Everyone usually turned a blind eye, pretended it wasn't happing, it probably helped them sleep at night, everyone else except from him.
Jughead had been keeping his head down as walked through the corridor, hoping to get to the next class without any trouble, he kept his books pressed against his chest as if it was a form of protection. He should have know they would spot him no matter how small and quite he was making himself, they always seemed to notice. They'd halted his steps with a smirk, forming a barrier around Jughead and their oversized egos.
"What do you want?" He mumbled, not daring to raise the tone of his voice- he didn't want to provoke them.
"Don't be like that, Juggie, we just wanted to have a chat."
"I've got to get to class." He attempted to push past them but they wouldn't allow it, instead blocking off his escape.
"The teachers won't even notice you're gone, in fact no one even notices when you're actually in the room."
Jughead kept himself to himself, that was true, so it didn't come as a big surprise hearing it said. There was still a few people in the hallway, stood at their lockers and all of them ignored the scene of Jughead surrounded.
"What's the matter? Don't like hearing about how pathetic you are?" One of the people that tormented him day in day out pressed, pushing Jughead's back into the metallic locker.
"I don't need your judgment." He tried to defend himself but every time he may as well have whispered it because it never works. He kept a lid on his emotions because they loved to see him vulnerable and he wouldn't give them the show, he wouldn't give them the satisfaction.
"Yes you do, otherwise how will you ever improve yourself?" They were mocking him and Jughead hated the tone of voice they were using, speaking to him like he was child. "Call it constructive criticism."
"How about I give you some feedback then, yeah?" Jughead snapped and his bullies looked genuinely surprised, rising their eyebrows and smirking. "You guys are dicks and you're pathetic. Maybe you should work on that- this is constructive criticism after all."
Clearly, they didn't like Jughead standing up for himself as they delivered a blow to his cheek.
"Hey? What are you doing?!" Jughead looked to his left to see none other than Archie Andrews, the most popular guy in the whole school. Jughead frowned, not sure as to why Archie of all people would step in between him and the bullies. Not that Archie was unkind but wasn't there a rule book to popularity? and Jughead's fairly sure helping the weird kid isn't one of those rules.
"That's none of your concern, Andrews."
"It is now." Archie furrowed his brows, sending a look of concern towards Jughead. "Leave him alone."
"Just move along." One of them told Archie but he adamantly shook his head, standing his ground and supporting Jughead, who was having a hard time wrapping his head around this.
"You move along." Archie fired back, folding his arms. "All of you just go."
Reluctantly, they let go of Jughead and walked away, mumbling colourful words under their breath.
"Are you okay?" Archie asked him once the bullies had turned a corner and Jughead merely nodded at him.
"Thank you." He sighed, dusting himself off.
"Don't worry about it." Archie shrugged.
"Usually people just walk past." Jughead added. "No one ever stops and says anything. How can I ever repay you?"
Archie hummed, seeming to be in deep thought. "You could let me take you out."
